anyone heard of this?

Sorry I haven't posted in so long.  I was able to take 12 wks leave from work and don't have a computer at home.  I had a beautiful baby girl on 12-27-07.  Abby Claire.  She now weighs 15 lbs!!!  My question is, has anyone heard of a mattress binder called BabeSafe that is supposed to prevent SIDS?  the website says that no baby has ever died from SIDS while using this cover?

I haven't heard of it.  But think of it this way:  If they only sold 10 of those covers, and not one baby died of Sids while using it, they could rightfully say "no baby has ever died of SIDS while using our product".
But it would be meaningless, b/c so few were sold.  

If they've sold 10 million of them and no baby ever died while using one, that's more impressive.

No baby probably ever slept in a dog crate and died of SIDS, either.  But that doesn't mean its a good idea to put a baby in one to prevent SIDS.

there was a study done in New Zealand and the crib death rate fell 70% between 1995 and 2005 when they started using the mattress wrapping technique.
