baby is 6 months and not rolling over

she almost gets over but then just doesn't try anymore.  Now she is starting to try to sit up looks like baby crunches haha... she even grabs her pant leg to try to get some more umphh...  she will also sit up on her own if I put her in that position until she tries to grab something and then she tips over... but should I be worried about the not rolling over?

At our 4 month appt. the dr. didn't ask if Blake was rolling over, but he did right after the appt. Now he is 6 months and 1 week and rolls over all the time. I think he rolled from back to front first and then the other way. Does she get enough tummy time? I don't know if you should be worried, she may just not have mastered it?  Did you speak to her Dr. at her 6 month appt?

At my last pedi appt, I asked when they start to roll over, and he said anywhere from 2-6 months, but that is one of the milestones he pays the least attention to because he said some may not really do it at all. So, don't worry about it at all, my pediatrician seems like a very well educated man.

dd was sitting before rolling over regularly. everything other developmental has been right on track.

I think I read that rolling over isn't a necessary milestone.  Not all baby's do it prior to becoming mobile.  I also heard that bigger babies take a little longer.  Don't worry.  She'll be crawling all over the place before you know.

Don't worry and relish this time when she can't get away from you!  My dd didn't roll over until after 6 months either and ever since then it has been like lightning struck - she is practically walking at 10 months.  Once she rolled over before I knew it she was crawling as fast as a little spider, climbing up the stairs, pulling herself up and walking along furniture.  Once they start getting mobile there is no holding them back!!
