Just something you could try in the meantime. I'm not sure if your state offers this but I think it's fairly commonCommon cold. You should call your local WIC or Public Health office and inquire about any developmentalDevelopmental dysplasia of the hip Developmental milestones record Developmental reading disorder evaulation programs they may have. In my state the doctors refer you to these people anyway to do the full evaluation. Here it's a program call Right Tracks. It's free for any child ages 3 and under of any familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources income level. If the child is shown to be below a certain level for their age and there are concerns they set up programing and work with parents to help the child along. It's basically a program that tries to catch kids that need help early before they are in Kindergarten and being held back etc. Most of the time they can help them catch up. Good luck to you! Hopefully your doctor can shed some light on what is going on also.
You can call the Regional Center. You do not need a refferal. I live in CA so it may be different where you live. Call your pediatritian too.
My son did the rolling over and crawling late. He was evaluted by the Regional Center and got special services until he was 3.
It was wonderful taking him to see the Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapist.
He walked late, he was almost 2 years old, it was hard to see him sooooo big and crawling. We thought he might never learn to walk.
Guess what though? He was sooooooo big when he started walking, he was almost running the same day. And because his legs were so well developed, he never ever stumbled or fell at all.
He is 4 now and he is walking, running, and actually talking better than most 4 year olds.
She may be slow to develop, but like my son she might just be late.
My son was late in his gross motor and fine motor skills, but at 3 years of age I taught him to read. Now he is 4 and is reading at a 2nd grade level.
Everyone was telling me not to worry, but of course I did. I am telling you that she will develop, it may be later than most children but it will all happen.
Much love and luck to you. Please keep me posted on this forum on her development
