Hi everyone, just thought maybe I could get some suggestions on middle names for my baby girl, due 2/23.  We definitely want to her first name to be Lily, but we decided we didn't like Mae as the middle name b/c everyone thinks it sounds like a country name.  I know it's still early but we really want to figure out what her name is going to be! here's some I like

Lily Grace
Lily Elyse
Lily Clementine
Lily Rose

what does everyone think sounds good?

I like Lily Grace.  Lily Rose is a little too "flowery" for me.  Lily Grace is by far my favorite.

What is your maiden name and your mothers maiden name?

I love the name Clemintine, but I don't think it goes very well with Lily.  I would go for Grace.  Rose is nice too, but the two flower names back to back may seem a little odd.  If you like it, use it, though!

my maiden name is Hiebert, my mother's is Gordon, definitely no name there :)  Lily Rose was actually my favorite, but someone told me that is the name of Johnny Depp's daughter, so I don't really want to copy that name.  I think we're leaning towards Lily Grace too

I actually love Lily Mae, but if you've decided against that, then I like Lily Grace the next best!

I like Lily Grace. But I still thought Lily Mae was cute!
(I'm from the south, and Mae is used in a LOT of the older names, and therefore does have a "country" feel to it)

Personally, I think Clementine sounds far more "country" than Mae! :-)

Someone told me I should use the middle name "Marie" instead of "Anna". I think Lily Marie sounds cute, but I've had Lily Anna in my mind too long to change it now! LOL Sooo, I'll pass on their suggestion to you! ;-)

I had to double check your due date and make sure you weren't my sister-in-law typing a post on here b/c she is naming her child (if it's a girl) LILY GRACE!  How cool is that!!  She won't find out the sex until December, but that's the name they already have picked out.  :)

thank you all for your suggestions!  I'm so glad I have at least come up with a first name, it's enough work just finding a middle name to go with it :)  I have a feeling we're probably not going to manage to decide anything definite until she's born, at least we've got some ideas.  Now I even feel like we might have to rethink Lily Mae...

I had a friend who's baby is almost a year old, and she named her:
Lily Ann May

We call her Lily Ann, which comes out sounding like Lilian.

The names that I personally like if I was lucky enough to have another would be:

boy:  Zavery Christopher, Sullivan William, Omry Kyler
girl: Ariella, Felicity, Tyrany, Trinity
