baby needs...

What are things we all will need for our newly born babies. this is my first and I have had my first baby shower but I'm having a second one for work and would like to know what all i need that way i can make a list and send it out before the next shower. I've seen many lists and I'm just not sure anymore! I am breastfeeding by the way and I'm having a girl. I'm asking for whatever you think from the one's who already know what to expect and the rest of you first-timers as well. I wanna be as prepared as possible so all advice welcome ladies!! thank you very much

I'm a mom of 6 kids.  Oldest 23yrs, youngest 4yrs.  Now I can tell you the 2 best items I found after pretty much going through every baby item on the market over the past 23 yrs, and these were just found with my youngest son.

1.  The baby wipe warmer.  There's nothing worse than using a cold baby wipe on a child of any age.  And if you're changing a diaper on a baby you're trying not to wake up completely, this is a must.  With my older kids, I would hold the wipes under hot running water, so boy was I pissed when someone else besides me came up with this great product!!!

2.  Close and Secure Sleeper, made by The First Years.  It's an infant bed that's made for your baby to safely sleep in your bed with you.  For me, we didn't use it in my bed.  My youngest son had colic real bad and with my husband working odd hours, my son slept on my coffee table in this infant bed the first month of his life.  The bed is also very portable so you can take it anywhere very easily.  I took his bassinet back to the store once I found out how great this item was and I had a great bassinet.  It was one of those you connect to your bed so when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night you don't even have to get out of bed yourself to feed him.  Unless your bottle feeding.  My first grandchild was just born back in January and my son got this for his baby and he agreed it's the bed purchase he has made for his baby. (he's stationed in Japan where the earthquake hit) He remember his little brother sleeping in this bed in the living room and how great it worked for our needs.

Good luck with your new baby and I hope I helped some.  The best advice I can give anyone looking for new items is "read the reviews" before you make any major or important purchase.  These 2 items I recommended have my full approval as a parent!
