bellybutton pain

this morning i had a pain by my bellybutton so bad it brought me to my knees.. it lasted for about a minute then went away, this is my first baby and i have no idea what happened.. i have been ok since then..thank you for any help

It is so common when the belly stretches. If I remember correctly, around 7 months my belly button popped outward and from then on the pain was there, on and off. It felt like a badly bruised spot, even at the slightest touch of clothing.
I read somewhere on here that a mom padded some undershirt - I don`t remember precisesly - left and right of the belly button to avoid clothing touching it. So - at least you are not alone...

Ask your dr - I had belly button pain and now have an umbilical hernia that's being repaired in a few weeks.  I don't think having a hernia is common though that's why you should consult your dr.

I should add that the pain began around 30 weeks and I thought that it was the pregnancy.
