PCOS doesn't prevent you from carrying to term. It just makes conception more difficult. A Bicornuate uterus on the other hand might. Basically your uterus is "heart shaped" and if implantation happens in the wrong place you're more likely to miscarry. It also makes you more likely to premature labour due to growth restriction. It really depends on the degree and such. Some are worse than others and some have no problems at all. You might find this post helpful. You do however need to find a doctor willing to work with you and give you all your options. Good luck.

Doctors don't know that much about bicornuate uterii and say things based on their lack of information.  Don't let the doctor scare you.  The first time I learned of mine, the doctor said, "Oh, incidentally, you have a heart-shaped uterus, but it shouldn't cause any problems when you want to have a baby."  That was a doctor who knew what he was talking about.  Later, a highly trained high-risk doctor freaked out like Chicken Little when he heard I had one.  He just didn't know anything about them.  You need to find a doctor who is aware that a bicornuate uterus is not a sterility sentence.

Incidentally, you can have the septum between the two sides of your uterus removed during an ultrasound-guided D&C.  It is not necessary (to have the septum removed) in order to carry safely to term -- I carried to 4 days from my due date with baby and septum intact -- but if your doctor (the good, new doctor who knows things, not the old, dumb doctor who is saying stuff that is ignorant) determines your septum is large, he or she might recommend its removal instead of leaving things to chance.
