My son was the opposite, he was off the charts for weight and length he was so big, then settled in around 99 and 97th percentile. His head was tiny and was below the 50th percentile. The Dr. assured us that babies are all different and we had one that was in proportion to his body, even though the numbers didn't say it. If they rule out any medical issues I wouldn't worry, my little one looks normal and is very bright at almost 4, even though his head was not "normal" by the numbers for his bosy size. She'll grow at different rates and you probably can't even tell when you look at her. My second son has a smaller head too but the Dr. keeps telling me that they look good so it doesn't matter, one ear is even way bigger than the other. Drives me crazy, but nobody else has noticed till I pointed it out. Your daughter is beautiful, don't worry, just enjoy her!
My son was premature and he has hydrocephalus, your doctor may be concerned that her head has grown and gone up more than one centile on the growth, if this is the case she need's to be checked again very soon, if she is growing at a noraml rate but just bigger than average this is not such a cause for concern.
My son's head was growing a centimeter a week and he had surgery at three months old to put in a shunt. Hydrocephalus can cause brain damage if not kept under control. Please call your doctor to clarify what situation you are in exactly, if it is an increase in growth that has moved her up more than one centile you it needs to be taken seriously, my son had his head scanned twice a week every week until they decided to put his shunt in at three months to make sure the hydrocephalus wasn't causing nay brain damage. He does have a few developmental dealys but is doing perfectly fine and is now in pre school.
I hope your doctor can give you a few more answers, if you have any more questions just ask.
