birth control ??

Ok, So I have been on the Yasmin birth control pill for almost 9 months, and the past 2 months I have had 2 cycles each month, which is pretty annoying, then last week i went to the dr and they said it was possibly an ovarian cyst that hasn't burst because of the birth control.  I am in alot of pain, so i went to the Gynecologist and he said there wasn't a cyst and it could just be the birth control pill making me have 2 cycles a month, so he switched me to ortho tri cyclen lo...my question is since i was on yasmin and i took it up until he gave me the new kind, i started the ortho tri cyclen lo in the middle of my yasmin pack (make sense??) would there be a chance of pregnancy just because of switching pills in the middle of a pack, or should there be no side effects or anything wierd happen?  when I got my pack of pills, there wasn't an information booklet like there should be, so i looked on the internet on how to start them, and i didn't miss any days between switching packs...im just not sure if there would be any risks involved...
