birth marks

Is there any information out there about birth marks? Has anyone ever notice common birth marks between siblings or parents and children.

I have a strawberry birthmark on the back of my neck. My 6 mnth old son also has the same type of birthmark in the exact same spot.

All my boys have  the exact same strawberry birthmark along the bottom of their hairline in the back, the very same one my dh has. Also, my oldest has a birthmark that actually looks like a chickenpox scar right beneath his left nipple in the exact same spot as my dh's. In fact when dh and I were dating, he told me it was a birthmark and I laughed at him telling him it looked more like a scar from chickenpox and never really believed him until our firstborn came out with the same exact thing.

I have the exact same birthmark under my arm (but on a different arm) than my mom.  Hers actually fell off a few years ago.  Weird and kinda gross, I know.  But we definitely had the same birthmark for a long time.
