I am 25 years old and have been taking the pill as birth controlControl Control rx for more than five years now. I have used about 3 or 4 different kind of pills in that period. I want to have children in about a year or so and just want to know what is the minimum length of time for a person to be on birthcontrol before it can affect my chances of having children or when it is just not good for you to take anymore. Is five years too long or not?

I was on the pill for 18 years straight. Went off and have no problem getting pregnant. It doesn't affect your ability to conceive. No worries.

I was on BC for 8 years (19-27) and went off the pill and got pregnant within 3 weeks. I dont believe BC delays getting pregnant once you stop the pill.
