bleeding after miscarriage

hi there.  I had my 2nd miscarrige on April 26th.  Ironically, I had a miscarriage on April 26th of last year also.  At any rate, I didn't need the d/c this time, and as of 2 weeks ago, my hcg level was down to normal.  Today is the 16th, and I am bleeding.  Is this my period?  by the way, I only have periods a few times a year, so this is why I'm so confused.  Should I call the doctor?  Thanks!

How heavy is the bleeding????   Are you filling pads like crazy???  I had a missed m/c back in Sept of last yr and did have a D&C on Sept 23.  The bleeding was VERY light.  Well on that Saturday which would have been Sept 27 I started cramping really bad and bleeding a little heavier with clots and stuff.  Well 4 days later I passed a peice of placenta and took it with me to the dr that morning.  Well the bleeding again was VERY light and the cramping stopped.  Well again 4 days later I started cramping again at about 4:00 am (Sunday Oct 5th) and bleeding very heavily.  I called ER and they said it was not really normal to be bleeding like that or cramping like that 2 weeks after a D&C but to take a couple Advil and try to rest.   I did that and was able to go back to sleep.  I woke up at 7:30 in a pool of blood in my bed and when I went to the bathroom I felt clots falling out of me.  I called my dr and she told me to go right to ER and they had to do a second D&C which took care of the problem.  I had no more bleeding and I felt great.  I got my period Nov 7 so about a month later.  So what I am saying is if you are bleeding and cramping bad call your dr just to be safe.  It could possibly be a period also.   Let us know how it turns out.   I am so sorry to hear about your loss a lot of us have been there and it is so hard.  Hang in there and I promise time will heal your pain.   Take care of yourself.

Ive recently had a miscarriage. My miscarriage was on 18/05/04. I had been going to hospital every week since 06/05/04 for blood tests as I had an ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago and now my period had been late. My hgc levels where rising but very slowly and finally on 04/06/04 they started to drop. What is worrying me at the moment is that I am still bleeding now (started bleeding 09/05/04) and having quite bad stomach pains. I dont know if this is normal after a miscarriage and was hoping you could give me some advice.
