bleeding after miscarriage

how can i stop bleeding after a miscarriage?  i miscarried on july 3 2008. after bleeding a month my doctor put me estrogen when i stopped bleeding i stopped taking it and didnt finish my perscription then i started bleeding again,  after bleeding for more than seven days i realalized it wasnt my period i started taking estrogen again, and again when i stopped bleeding i stopped taking it,  i called my doctor,  he said dont take anything anymore for the bleeding,  he also said spot bleeding could be a sign of withdraw from estrogen.  it is now beyond spot bleeding and turning into heavy bleeding with blood clots.  (i also have a fibroid tumor in my uterus which may be causing the bleeding and am having it removed next month, im on iron but dont think its a good idea to be bleeding so much right before surgery)  any idea whats going on with me?  and any ideas on home remedies to stop bleeding on my own?  or just any ideas at all?  im tired of bleeding and cramping for over two months and worried about bleeding with an upcoming surgery. (i am already eating organic food and have done my best to rid my house of toxins)
