i had that and miscarried. however, i do know someone who had that and now has a healthy happy 6 month old, so it's really hard to tell. I would try not to worry about it too much unless it becomes heavy, brightBright beginnings red, and you have pain. lots of womenWomen's way have bleeding during pregnancy and go on to be absolutely fine.
How far along are you? My doctor told me that 'destinated miscarriage' happens between 6-8 weeks because that's when the embryo needs the 'missing information' to continue development. If you have past the 8 weeks mark, miscarriage drops tremendously. Don't worry if bleeding stop. 1/2 of the pregnancy go on fine after slight bleeding. If you have pain, call you doctor.
I do know women who have had this and have had pregnancies that ended up being okay. I personally wouldn't trust a diagnosis until at least 9 wks. I have heard of too many cases of misdiagnosis in earlier weeks. By at least 9 - 10 wks. there should be a definite diagnosis. Do you know if you have a tilted uterus? That can skew ultrasound results up to 2 wks. I hope that things go well for you. In the meantime, this site will encourage you as you wait this out. Take care!
Sorry to hear you are going through this-I know it is a tough time. Your hcg sounds promising, though! Sometimes us can't always show what it needs to, so you hang in there, and take care of yourself. I have heard MANY stories of light bleeding being no biggie at all. In fact, I have a close friend who bled nearly 5 months of her pregnancy. My own mom also bleed right through pregnancy, and, well, here I am!
Unfortunately, of course there is always the possibility that something is not right. However, it is your job to eat right, rest, and try to stay positive.
Sending prayers and hugs your way,

If I am correct you are about 6 or 7 weeks correct???? Your numbers sound high to me so I do not think I would worry just yet. I think the only thing you are going to be able to do (as hard as it is) is to try to relax and wait for your ultrasound. I do hope all comes out for you. I had bleeding with my first pg 6 1/2 yrs ago and I was about 4 1/2 months along and all was fine. I think as long as it is not bright red and you are having no pain then I do not think I would worry much about the bleeding right now. I wish you the best. Good Luck to you and let us know soon.
I had bleeding with a pregnancy that ended up being absolutely fine..(the bleeding was a one time occurance...it wasn't ongoing) and I also had 2 miscarriages where it started with light bleeding. It could go either way, but your numbers sound good! When I had my mc's my hcg numbers were very low and not doubling. Good luck!
Several times in my pregnancy I had small amounts of light pink bleeding. I think it had to do with straining on my part. I am a physical therapist, so early on I was doing lifting, etc. that I probably shouldn't have, and had some spots on the wall of my uterus and attachment of the placenta that healed just fine after I started taking it easy. Not too long ago I had it again after a bad cold; I tried to be Rambo and not take anything and ended up straining so hard to blow my nose that it caused more trouble. I am starting my 28th week now though, and everything is fine (and believe me they checked EVERYTHING).
One of my friends is 12 weeks preganant and she started pouring blood, she thought she had thought the baby was dead. Well come to find out she has a placenta previa, where the placenta implanted over the cervix. It is possible that it can move but is rare that it does, it warrents a c-section. She is doing better right now but says she is still spotting. Small amounts of blood is ok, but if its period like with lots of clots, get to the er or labor delivery right away. I will be praying for you, god's speed.
I am 22 weeks now and had a major bleed (bright red blood running down my legs) back in Dec. thought for sure we had miscarried again but when they checked they said the cervix had closed again. The US showed a little baby with a nice strong heartbeat, everything worked out just fine for us and hopefully for you as well. Keep positive, there are all kinds of strange stuff that can happen during pregnancy and then everything turns out to be just fine. Keep us posted as to your well being.
I am seven weeks my doctros has done various ultra sounds but still not being able to hear my baby heart beat she has done blood test and she said it looks ok, but this weeken istarted bleeding and they did an ultrasound again and they still culd n't find the baby heart beat should i worry the doctor said i should havve heard the heart beat
