blighted ovum?

hi I am about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant and I possibly may have a blighted ovum. I was in at 7 weeks and the doctor could not see an embryo just a yolk sac. She ordered my hcg levels anthey were 15044. Today (4 days later)they were 33,004. I just am so worried as to weather or not I am pregnant or not. I'm supposed to wait another 7 days for another u/s but I was just wondering if anyone knew about what these levels mean??? Please help.

the numbers are in the range for how many weeks you are :O)  and they have doubled.  try to stay positive and if it drives you tooo crazy maybe have them drawn again in a few  days.  good luck and super sticky baby dust

I just had a blighted ovum miscarriage.  I was 6-7 weeks pregnant.  I experience spotting a couple weeks ago and went to ER to find out what was going on because instantly I thought it was a m/c.  The Dr took my blood test and I was in the range I was supposed to be in at the weeks pregnant I was at.  My cervix was still closed and the Dr found no tissue when she did a pelvic exam.  All that gave me hope until they did the u/s.  They found the sac, but no embryo.  I was on vacation when I went to ER.  When I got home, I went to my regular Dr and she had me do another Beta Quant test to check my levels.  I wasn't at the levels I should be at.  They did another u/s and still found no embryo.  I prayed that they didn't see a baby because it was too early, but that wasn't the case.  Hopefully that's the case in your situation.  Hang in there and good luck!

Last June i went to the ER for spotting, I was supposed to be 9w.  When they did the u/s they could only see a sac that measured 6w2d and there was nothing in it.  My hcg at that time was 19000.  My spotting progressed for another two days and got worse so I went to ER again and they took my hcg levels (this is two day later) and they were only 21900.  That same day I m/c and passed the sac.  I did indeed have a blighted ovum.  Your numbers do look good and you have no spotting so I would hold out on hope because I do think it looks good.  My numbers did not go up that much and yours did.  I have read where women went in for a 7w u/s and saw nothing and then later saw their baby.  It is a waiting thing for you now.  Pray and I will keep you in my thoughts.

With my bo my numbers did not double like they should.  My guess is that your will a healthy bean on the next us.
