My son went through a period at about six months old where he didn't have a b.m. but once every two or three days. He was breast feeding and bottle feeding, and at 6 months started rice cereal. The rice cereal apparently slowed things down, because that is when we would wait and wait and wait for him to poo. But he wasn't uncomfortable or acting differently, so we just stopped feeding him rice cereal. He is now 8 months and does only one poop a day, I'm not complaining! But it was apparently all normalNormal saline flush.
this happened to my dd as well, at around 7 months.
are you nursing your son? if so, they say it is commonCommon cold for a breastfed baby to not have a bm for a few days...
i've heard/tried to stick a thermometer in their butt...that may get things moving as well..but be aware! (only the tip though...lol)
Annie: i am feeding my 3 month old cereal he just started about a tablespoon a night. the doctor said to do it to help him sleep threw out tthe night. i started the ceral 5days ago.
jjerzeegirl: yes i am breast feeding my son when do you think i sould call the doctor like how many days should it take.

Stop giving it to him and see if he has a bm. Rice cereal is very binding, and he is very young for it.
