Can someone with diabetes breastfeed?

Definitely. One has to be a little more careful as the BFing may increase chances of low sugar but other than that, for sure a diabetic can nurse her baby.

Awesome thank you...Im juss wondering for the future!!  I dont have low suger i have high sugar. I try to control it by diet and my doc told me that when i conceive and del I would prolly have a 10punder...and twins run in my family so thats gonna be fun fun..lol... Thank you so much!!

No, I understand as a diabetic you have high sugar but often the act of nursing can give you low sugar. Low sugar can be a dangerous state so it's important to monitor your sugars carefully while nursing and keep a lifesaver or a juice box by your side while nursing.
