breastfeeing and menstration

hey all-well i am about 5 weeks post partum and the other day i start having light blood-i am ebf so i thought i wouldnt get my period this soon-i didnt have sex or anything either-it just doesnt feel like my period b.c its not heavy-i go for my dr appt this coming wed-anyone else go through the same thing as me-also its not heavy and i am not crampy

It could still be postpartum bleeding. I was told that if it stops and then it starts up again you should consult your doctor. But if it is very light not sure it is necessary.

I had the same thing happen to me.  I had to go to my 6 week PP appt and I started bleeding again.  It's perfectly normal and it's not your period.  It shouldn'tlast more than a couple of days.

I had periods regularly while ebf. My daughter nursed so much, I thought that they would stop. My dr said for most it does, just not me!  Best wishes for you.
