bronchitis during 1st trimester

by livalittle, Feb 14, 2008 10:49PM
I'm a recurrent miscarrier 6 wks pregnant with twins following fertility treatment- thank G-d! My concern is that I have been sick since I'm pregnant - starting as a cold and now a bad case of bronchitis. I'm supposed to refrain from any pelvic activity but the severe coughing is not really allowing me to do that. I'm not breathing so well either even though I'm on all the meds. I can bear the discomfort but I'm really afraid for my pregnancy - can bronchitis have a negative affect on the fetuses? Can all this coughing cause a miscarriage? i am not bleeding but feel pain in uterus and cramping too. I'm very worried.

(This is especially frightening for me bec. last time I miscarried, in second trimester, i had bronchitis.)
