brown spotting and colts is this normal?

Iam 7wks pregnant and this past week i have had brown spotting after i go to the bathroom and wipe, i called my doctor and they told me its ok as long i dont have red blood and cramping i should be fine, but now when i wipe it's brown clots in the toliet and when i wipe, is this a sign of a misscarriage?

Brown is a sign of old blood, but call your doctor again and tell them of the clotting that way if they want to check it ou they can.

Brown blood is old/used blood and aslong as it dont turn red and you dont get any cramping then i think everything is fine, i had miscariage 6 march 08 but just to be sure i think you should go back to docs and see if he can get you booked in for an early scan just to put ur mind at rest, its not knowing that everything is fine thats the hardest.  best of luck

I agree with the others.  Brown blood is old and not a cause to worry.  If you are clotting, you should mention this to the Dr.  I did have bright red bleeding for almost a week at 5 & 1/2 weeks with my first baby.  I went in at 6 weeks 2 days and they were going to do a an u/s to confirm a m/c.  He was doing well and we saw his hb.  He will be 5 in August.  I had brown blood and clots and thought nothing of it when I got pregnant again, in my case, I had a blighted ovum, but the brown soon turned bright red and I went in again for a scan.  Bleeding does happen and can mean something or nothing.  I cramped in all my pregancies, so it's hard to say.  Just keep in touch with your Dr. and if it gets red go in ASAP.  Good luck.

i just went throw a misscarage about a week ago. i was 7 weeks 3 days along. i found out i was pregnant when i was 6 weeks 2 days and i was bleeding not to bad just little spots but it was a very light red. i went to my doctors and she told me everything was fine. and about a week or so later i starting bleeding really bad and starting to get very big blood clots. i went to the er and they informed me that it was a misscarage. i dont want to get your hopes down i would just go talk to your doctor about everything. hope everthing goes well and lots of baby dust your way.
