brown spotting week 5 i think

Has anyone been through this?? I am about 5or 6 weeks i think?? I went for a ultrasound because I have been spotting for 3 days now. The doctor could not hear a heartbeat and could only see the sac no embryo. My hcg level has turned out to be around 8,000 I need to go back tomorrow for another count. I pray that the dates are off and that the baby will continue to grow. I am not sure what the brown spotting is all about.

Brown spotting if OK. Even bleeding red is OK sometimes in pregnancy. It sounds like your numbers are really good! Usually at 5 weeks you can't see a heartbeat or anything in the sac. That is completely normal. I know tomorrow seems like forever but hang in there! I hope your numbers go up. Good Luck!

I'm also having brown spotting right now, and I think I'm 6 wks right now. I went to the ER.. and said it looked like old blood, checked my uterus, and took blood and that was it, didn't tell me anything else.. and sent me home.. so much for an answer.. but I'm still spotting.. and I'm paranoid as ****.. I've had a miscarriage before, so this one might end up that way too :(... I hope all goes well for you thoughhhhh.
