I don't know about any of you but I got pregnant with all 3 of my children while on different birth control 1 was the pill, 1 was the nuva ring, and 1 was the patch. I got my tubes tied after my 3rd thinking nothing is going to work to keep me from getting pregnant. My doctor did tell me that even with them tied there still is a chance and here I sit with being 2 months with out my period. Am I pregnant? Took many tests and they all say no but with my 3rd child I didnt know I was pregnant until I was 5 months. Don't get me wrong I want to have another one since my last child (my son) passed away with SIDS but I need an answer.

I hade my tubes cut Dec.'10 and the dr showed them to me, the reason I had this done is because dr told me when he performed c-section my urteus was thined out. I really do regreat it and feel guilty can I get this reverse. Thanks Patricia

Well if you only believe in things you can see, then i guess that you dont believe in air. So the air you are breathing that you cant see is keeping you alive i guess you should stop breathing it then since God put it here for you to breathe. There are lots of things that you cant see but you still believe in so why is God any different? Buy a bible and read it and goo listen to a church sermon you might be surprised what you believe when you leave. God is real I hope you figure that out before its too late :).

I had my tubes tide 6 years ago and 2 months behind. Nipples hurt bad tender. Have to cover them in the shower to avoid pain from the water hitting them. Headaches. Tired. Hair looks dry and skin looks dryer.

I had my tubes tied, clipped and burned almost 9 years ago. I have been having symptoms of pregnancy like swelling feet, some naseau feelings but not actually vomiting. I have been running to the bathroom like crazy to urinate and sleeping more. People say that it's not possible but I would love to have another baby as long as it's gonna be healthy for both me and the baby. I have been married for 3 years and do not have any kids with my husband. He has 1 child but their relationship is far and between. He wants a son and I would love to give him that. I hope that I am pregnant. My cycle is due in three days though so I will keep you all posted. #prayingforamiracle

Your tubes aren't "tied" per say, so they can't untie themselves. Ligation is a permanent procedure, and should be treated as such. The different things they do are clamps, which in some cases can come off or loosen. The more common ones now are that the tubes are clipped, and the end burned. In these cases failure is more rare, but in some instances the tubes heal back and an egg can pass. As time passes the failure rate starts to slowly increase, but after 10 years the chances are like 1.8%

If you suspect you're pregnant, take a pregnancy test.

Ladies, I know its frustrating. I do know a couple of people who have lovely kids after have a tubal. I too got mind done 2 years ago after my husband and I had our second child together. I d have 4 total but I wish I hadn't done it. I love children and we have the means to support more but I guess I may never know...Please think hard before doing something that you can not change..I would give anything to have mine undone....Wishful thinking...

hey ladies dr.gary berger is a well known doctor out of north carolina that specializes in reversal of tubal ligation i am speaking from experience my husband and i have went to him 2 months ago he has a lot of success stories and couples have gotten pregnant within 6 months after the procedure the cost is $6000 and he does payments until it is all paid for. i had my tubes tied in 2000 and now my husband and i want a child a co-worker told us about him she herself went to him and her daughter is 3 years old and healthy she had no complications with the pregnancy.wish my husband and i good luck we know god is on our side hope this information is helpful to someone out there who was in my situation

I had my tubes tied 12 years ago. I have an 18 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. At the time, I thought it was the best thing for me, but I have been second guessing myself. It's always hard when you get into a relationship and you fall in love with that person. You both want something that's apart of you. I regret what I did and was told that I would. i wish i would have listened. I know it can be reversed, but it is expensive and I'm almost 40 years old. Has anyone ever had the tubal reversal done?

In 2001, after the birth of my son, I had my tubes tied, clipped and burned. Years after the tubal, I went through the phase where I wanted another baby. My husband and I really regretted our decision to have the tubal but at the time, he was 42, and I was 32 and we felt it best for us not to have anymore children. (We have five all together but only share one). Well, ten years, and six grandchildren later, that wanting a baby phase has long passed. Now I'm 42 years old, I'm late, I'm irritable, and extremely tired. I'm usually like the clock with my cycles. I acutally had some light spotting....it was like the begginning and/or ending of a cycle but it never developed into a full blown cylcle. At first I thought I was going through begginning menapause but after reading these posts, I think I'd better check to see if I am pregnant.

However, I'm not hoping to be pregnant and I'm not allowing myself to mentally feed into the idea of having a baby because all that will do is magnify the symptoms no matter how small they are. So I'm just going to get myself checked to make sure that I'm healthy and that nothing is seriously wrong with my body and I'll start by ruling out pregnancy. If you've had a tubal and think you are pregnant, don't waste precious time. Go to your doctor and get yourself checked immediately! Because whether you wish for another baby or not, your health is priority in either case.

I'm soo glad I read this. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant.I've had 4 pregnancy before one of them was a miscarriage at 20weeks so I know what it feels like. I have not taking a test yet, but I'm 1 1/2 weeks late and just plain fell like crap all the time. I'm 32 and been married for 13 years and have a 12 year old daughter (my birth control baby and honeymoon baby) after that I could not take birth control and a daughter 8 (she was planned) ,I had a son but he was miscarriage at 20weeks ) and a 3 year old son (he was planned). I can not take birth control pills it just messes me up bad so we use condoms and just like the girl up there that happen to be the .o1% Both me and my husband seem like we are in the same boat. We got pregnant on the condoms any way I was looking into getting my tubes tied after this one and after reading all these story I don't think I will. Most likely we would be that .01% also. So thank you all for changing my mind. Maybe I'll just sustain from sex (he he) you think my husband would like that.

I am a 38year old mother of 3 at the age of 21 I had my tubes tied and when I got married my husband wanted a child. I went through Ivf and it was very successful and enlighting. And most of all my tubes are still tied. So I was able to make my husband happy and not disrupt my decision. It is a very involved process, but if you want a child after having your tubes tied it is very worth it, I would do it again.

Hi, Im a 31 yr old who has two beautiful girls aed 5 and 3yrs, when my youngest was 6months, i had my tubes tied (clipped) there is not a day goes by when i do not regret my decision, and i long for another baby, but me and my husband can not afford the reversal. Just so that your informed no i am no doctor and maybe some ppl on here might b or might not, but i do have 4 friends who have had there tubes tied all around 2 years ago and yet, have all gotten pregnant in the pass year, so it is possible... now i am hoping that that is not the case with me since i already have 5 kids, but in my case i have all the symptoms, and im not talkign just the moodiness or cramping, but im talking the breast leaking, the discharge, the moodiness, the aches and pains, cravings, the bloating major the pass two days... so im going to get checked today and seeing what happens i will let you guys know.. cause i had mine cauterized and burned 11 months ago,... so wish me luck

my sister's friend got pregmant and her tubes were tied and it wasn't an etopic pregnancy. she carried the baby full term and now her daughter is 9 yrs old. they went in to see if her tubes were still tied and yes they were. if God wants you to have kids he will make a way for you to have regardless of what you had done no one can stop the power of God

i am in the same situation. I am almost forty and got fixed about seventeen years ago. My two older kids are serving time in prison been in about 5 yrs and my youngest one is 16 lives with my ex. i get so depressed sometime cant stand it. Its just me and my hubby that lives in apt. together.He is a wonderful guy that is 13 yrs younger than me. Patricia's comment was not necessarily one questioning God's existence, it was a comment that the dr. had cut her tubes and shown them to her, and that she now feels regret for getting them tied. Although Christ did command that we are to be witnesses for him, I think right now she needs to hear of God's love for her, and that all things are possible with him. So, if she still wants to have another baby, first she should pray of course, then speak with her dr. about an affordable method so that she can get pregnant again :)

My ET was on Wens. and I hate waiting it's only been two days and I took a HPT that was neg. I called the Dr. and they said that it to early and could be a false neg. My blood test is on 9-30 and I'm scared. I only had twinges of pain for two days, gas and bloating, now nothing, has anyone else been here. I had my tubes tied 7 years ago and my periods have been crazy the last 3 years or so. I won't get it for 6 months then get it monthly for 3 then on and off every other month for 6 months. Just crazy. Not pregnant though. Good Luck All

Hi, I had my tubs claped when i was 22 and now 7 years later i'm married and it was the worst thing i ever did. My loving husband would like one of his own but u see we just dont have the money to get it reversed. yes he has a very good job but our two other kids are 10 and 11 so they dont just ask for barbies and trucks :) any more, its big stuff and we would like to get it for them so our money goes towards them, so if we can help anyone out we sure would like to have another little one around the house. I don't think anywhere does free IVF--it's a very costly procedure. That is something you would have to see if your insurance covers or something you will have to pay out of pocket.

Almost 7 yrs ago I had a tubal or they told me that they were tied, cut and burnt. I have 8 positive pregnancy tests as of now and have had abnormal paps in the past...the only other explanation would be possible cervical cancer but I FEEL pregnant like I did with my 4 boys. Tired like crazy, very crampy in the middle, darkening of the nipple area. The health dept gave me 2 tests which came out with a light positive but the dummies said it was not dark enough to be considered a positive. I took it to my dr office and they said it was a definite positive on them both, so now I am waiting to have blood work. I actually hope I am, I regret the tubal and want a daughter. Maybe with God's will, I will be blessed.

Hi, my name is Kit and in 2006 I had my tubes tied and "burned". I am now feeling a lot of movement in the top of my stomach. Did you feel kicks or movement in the top of your stomach since it was in your tube? I had my tubes tied 9 years ago after having our son. I've had two pregnancies and both were premature babies. My first pregnancy resulted with extreme premature birth of my baby due to developing preclamsia & sadly, he passed away. Our second child, praise the Lord, although small survived and is a 9 years old happy boy today! :)
Well, my husband and I want to have another baby so badly that I get sad thinking about why I had my tubes tied? I'm sure I was scared and confused but signed the waver anyway. I wish I hadn't done it. Our son always ask if he could have a sibling and I want to give him one but how? We can't afford adoption or surrogacy & our insurance won't cover the reversal of my tubal. I'm running out of options. Whenever I hear any of my friends pregnant, I wish them well & I'm happy for them but inside, I'm sad and wishing I was pregnant too. I wish surrogacy were free or they would find a cure for preclamsia. I would do it all over again to complete our family!

i love this post because it is so true. i got my tubes done in 09 after my 4th child,worst thing i ever did. i told everyone after i had them done it was the worst dection i have ever made. i just knew my body wasnt the same anymore. i went back to my ob who did it and he basically said it was all in my head and gave me different drugs for different issues. so after being pumped full of drugs and me thinking possibly hes right it is in my head i realized after a few months it wasnt. nothing help. i resently found a new ob/midwife that i will see next tuesday the 17th. he does believe in the ptls and have seen improvements with women who had them reversed and side affects went away.i hope i will be able to get the reversal done and im praying my insurance will cover it because it is medical problems,not just because id like a baby. i have suffered for 2 yrs with this and thinkin im crazy,i hoping this dr helps me.

I had my tubes tied 5 years ago and I had really heavy bleeding with my cycles. Back in October I experienced the same symptoms that you were and all pregnancy test came back negative. I had my period 2 months later and I had to stop stressing and relax i guess. I recently went back to the doctor who performed my tubal and he burned them but still he examined me and found that I had some issues with my uterus that was causing the pain and abnormal periods. I am having surgery this coming Thursday as he found a blood clot in my uterus but he thinks that I was pregnant but with the heavy bleeding the sack detached from the uterine wall and the baby could not survive. now it is just a clot. He is also going to check my tubes as I am also still having discomfort and I am anemic from losing so much blood over the past year. I miscarried the baby but I wasn't supposed to be able to have a viable pregnancy after the tubal. Please go see a doctor but one that specializes in OB/GYN.

Hello everyone! I am 38 years old and had Filshie Clips put on my tubes 11 years ago. My last period was on December 18th...although only spotting for 3 days. For 4 weeks I wasn't able to eat, stomach aches, very very sore nipples that only lasted about a week, and for about a week I had mucus in toilet. Five days ago I started having breast pain that gets stronger each day, trouble sleeping at night and wake up with headaches. To top it off I have been having strange dreams. I feel silly to take a pregnancy test but cant get it out of my mind. Maybe its all in my head. Any advice?

There is a clinic in California that is specifically for Tubal Ligation Reversal. Even though Dr.'s say once you get a permanent Tubal Ligation.. You can have it reversed. Its not that i regret my decision but seems like give me some sort of feelings i will be more in mess then ever...!!! i know everyone is different and i just hope i will be fall to the 1 in 30 person who facing no problem after the tubal... i just want to move on and look for other type of happiness beside thinking of baby all the time...!!! life its short and in that 4 years my life seems all about baby.. hospital.. medication..d&c..m/c and now still birth... :(( i feel my body no longer can take it as well my mental... so base on all that i decided the tubal.. and oh ya i now open for adoption... i wish you all... good luck and hope i will be much more happier then i ever be after this... hugsss...

may god bless you all i m here maybe to see if i can get some answer's ......i had a tubaligation 5 years ago going on to 6..... as off november 27 i have not had my period and i have almost all the symptoms of pregnancy but i took a urine test yesterday at a doctors office an it was negative and i understand that i have never had luck with those test because my youngest son well we did not find out till i was about 4months n thats because we finally decided to do blood work lol.....but now the doctor i have just practically rubbed in my face saying i will never have no more kids....but she did a blood test and she wont give me my results till next week because she says she first wants to see the results off all the other test because she says that what i might have is cancer! i pray for a miracle ! thank you for listing to me ! amen and god bless!

I know and feel what you all are going through.... i had my tubes tied in 08 due to a complicated birth and other reasons. But every month i feel pregnant breasts swollen, hungrier then normal and swing moods like crazy..... feels like symptoms of a period but teasing me...... and i'm not afraid just always wonder ???? if i'am pregnant i want to do everything right ....
