I got carpal tunnel the last month of my pregnancy. It first started in my thumb in the early evening. By bed time it was up in my arm and during the middle of the night I was up crying in extreme pain. My DH thought that I might have been bitten by a spider. I went to Urgent Care the next day and my OB the same day. My OB said "Oh ya he has some pregnant patients get it so bad that they have to go on leave from work. He told me to get the braces (you can get at the Drug store)and that seemed to help me right away. Fortunally I only had that one spell and it did not come back. So you may want to try the braces. Good luck :)

I had it too!  It was the worst!  I had it with my first and it came on when I was about 7.5 months along.  I had to sleep sitting up and the only time I had ant peace was when I was walking, so I probably walked 8 miles a day.  It went away after I delivered.  I also had it with my second and it made the first time around feel like a walk in the park.  My hands and feet swelled, I had to cut rings from my fingers and The Doctor gave me these wrist braces that a specialist made up for me.  Unlike my first it did not go away totally until about 3 months after delivery.  Try sleeping with your hands dangling over the bed and try to get some braces for your wrists, they do help.  I can feel for you!

I made a comment in another post perataning to the same thing. My friend Selia is like you 3months she is going through the same thing. Maybe like what the other ladies had given the advice to sleep with a pillow and keep your arms dangling. My friend even while washing dishes or knitting or doing repetious work- i hope this advise works for you
Best of luck

I had it with my second pregnancy. Actually I had it before I got pregnant.  At 6 months I ended up having surgery with just a local injection.  The doc was afraid of permanant nerve damage.  That is how bad mine got.  I would avice getting wrist/hand brace to sleep in.  They wrap around your wrist and hand and you can adjust them for comfort.  I hope things get better for you.
