I'm so sorry for what you are going through! I didn't find much about cervical ectopic pregnancy, but I'll paste what I did find. And yes, if the egg traveled into the uterus you have at least one tube open. It's so rare that I really doubt it would happen to you again.

You are indeed a rare case. I have seen one cervical ectopic pregnancy in 35 years of practice. (all in teaching centers where the rare cases get referred.) In addition to this being a rare thing, up until the recent past it was also almost 100% fatal, so very few survived to have a chance at having a second one. These are the reasons we don't have nay good numbers. Since I haven't seen any case reports of a second cervical ectopic(it probably would get reported), I don't think the recurrence rate is above 50%. My suspicion would be that it is higher than in someone who has never had one, but still quite low. Read teh "My suspicion" I have no real data and I don't know. I am only giving an educated guess.
It specifically discusses the medical management of 2 cases of cervical pregnancy and methotrexate. I did not read the articles closely--just skimmed to see if it may be something you could get some insight from.
It is quite rare, and you need very careful and very skillful care.
Hi Mooey.. i understand what you are going though at the moment iam to am going though the same thing right now.. i was 6 w5d when i had a US and found that it was a cervical pregnancy and that i would have to terminate the pregancy.. i cried and cried and cried some more.. this just happend to me on aug 31st 2009... no body at my RE has ever dealt with something like this so they were going to give me the shot and i was suppose to go in the next day for them.. but i started bleeding pretty good that night and ended up going to er and they had told me that i was losing it on my own.. (thinking to myself i was happy) my body was doing it for me because to have to make that choice to terminate the pg was killing me but i would have done it ,so i understand what you are going though and if i would have had to take the shots and like they told me if the first shot didnt work i would have to take another one.. i would have done it.. only to help myself .. bc to not do what doc wants could mean you are hurting yourself more. i have no one to talk to about this because know one understand so... i would love to talk with you bc atleast we aint alone and wondering why this happend to Us...
Hello, I too had a cervical ectopic in June 2007 and I couldn't find any information on it anywhere. I was almost 7 weeks pregnant and it was by pure chance that it diagnosed in time, luckily the day of my scan a different consultant was on duty and he specialises in ectopic pregnancy. He was great and explained that it would be treated with methotrexate, my fertility would not be affected and my chances of it happening again were 1 in 40,000 (as this was the same chance of it happening the first time, this was not good news as far as I was concerned) I had to have 2 shots of methotrexate as the 1st didn't work , even the 2nd shot was only borderline successfull but they kept a close eye and after 4months my bloods went back to normal (Oct 07). I was told not to ttc until 6 months after my 2nd injection. After all the heartache I wasn't sure I wanted to try again and put myself through it all again but I was very lucky and Feb 08 I found out I was pregnant again although with all the same early symptoms as previously, but a 6 week scan showed all was where it should be and 25th Oct 08 I gave birth to the most perfect baby girl (exactly 1 year and 1 week after I got the all clear from my ectopic) My ectopic was the worst thing that has ever happened to me emotionally and physically, but I am proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel, at the time I just wanted to know what I had done wrong for it to happen, what was wrong with me that had made it happen, but I know now I did nothing and nothing is wrong with me, as I have been told a million times "it's just one of those things" not helpful but true.
Hi, I am so glad that you posted your story because its good to know there is some hope. I was diagnosed too with a cervical ectopic pregnancy at 11 weeks, when they did the methrotexate shot and a second one directly on the embryo of potassium or something like it to stop the beating. Its been a very horrible ordeal, my hcg is now at 5 and I still have some bleeding. I hope this is over soon. Being my first pregnancy it has left me full of fear and hopeless, I cannot envision a future one but like you said "its just one of those things" that happen and after all is done maybe i will find my own light.
cheers
