clearblue pg test

clearblue pg test

hi ladies, most of u would remember me venting about a month ago. i had a silent miscarriage at nearly 11 weeks on the 6th.i started bleeding with the help of tablets and fully miscarried the baby within a day. please don't judge me. but i think i am pg which is exciting. that was our first baby. i took a test last night clearblue and i didn't know that i had to put it back in the reading thing(says pregnant and not pregnant), but i saw a very darkline and a light line. i know its very early but we resumed having unprotected sex from 15th of january. i already feel like i am pregnant, cramps, sore boobs, lines on the boobs, nausea and morning sickness. most of the symptoms only kicked in last night.

so i took another clearblue test,it said i am PREGNANT...i took the strip out and saw a bit darker line and very darker line but it did say pregnant. so i went to the gp this afternoon, he wanted me to do a lab test(urine) when i went to the lab, they were closed. but the nurse took the sample and did a hpt, but she said it was negative.

my question is, is clearblue digital reliable????any1 had any problem with it??? i know i should have waited one cycle but we were so desperate for a baby and had no luck for a year, then got pg but silent miscarriage. pls send me ur comments.

The tests are reliable, but so are the tests at the doctors office.
Perhaps one test detects lower levels than the other.

You have a couple of choices--wait a week (YES, A WEEK) and test again, or insist on a blood pregnancy test (quantitative).

If you wait a week, your levels should be so significantly higher that HCG should be detected on any test.  I know the temptation is there to test every single day, but if you would wait longer you can be sure of your answer.

You are using clearblue easy digital? It's the kind that has a read out in words right? I'm not sure I misread your post, but please ignore the strip that pops out of the test. Usually it will have two lines but that means nothing. It states in the directions do not read the insert like a regular home test, just read the digital words "pregnant" or "not pregnant" ignore the strip.

An Ohio company is recalling one lot of infant formula due to the presence of black plastic particles reported in some cans, the company said Wednesday.

The Ross Products Division of Abbott is recalling one lot of Similac Advance with Iron powdered infant formula in 12.9 ounce cans, with Lot Number 20307RB.

No serious health or safety reports have been received that are attributed to this situation, the company said in the recall.

The formula was distributed between Sept. 15 and Oct. 18, 2004, primarily in the Eastern half of the United States and in Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri.

The lot number is printed on the bottom of the can. The particles resulted from an isolated manufacturing event that has already been corrected, the company said.

Consumers should contact Ross for more information at 1-800-986-8884 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.

I just heard this from my dads gf.. she heard it on the news the other day.. just thought everyone should know.. It scares me because this is the excate formula ashton has been using for 2 1/2 months and i remember excatly one day 2 months back when we first started using it, asking my husband.. what is this black stuff in the bottle.. ohhh.. we thought it was just the formula since it was the first can we ever used.. we just thought it was part of the formula.. so far ashton has not been sick or anything.. maybe the stuff was from something else.. but i just thought id let you all in on this! but im gonna be calling that number first thing monday to find out some more info on it!

The lot number 20307RB is printed on the bottom of the cans.

Remember--this one one lot that was distributed for one month.  I'd worry very much too, if it was something I fed my baby--but there is nothing you can really do about it now.  The problem has been corrected.  It is a good idea to contact that number, as they may want to take your information if you think Ashton ingested formula from that lot #.

Infant formula manufacturing is tightly controlled and subject to stringent guidelines for health and safety--yet things can rarely happen like this.  Similac is a good formula and obviously one of the 2 big names in the business.  I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I took three hom pregnancy tests and they all were positive. They are also more sensitive than the urine tests at the doctor's office. I had to find that out the hard way. I went to the doctor twice and both tests were negative. They told me to wait two weeks after your missed period and then their tests would be able to pick up the HCG level. I did that and it came back postive.Clear Blue easy is one of the best tests. If is said you were pregnant- you probably are. Congratulations! Just wait out the week or more and go to the doctor again. (doesn't waiting suck)
