clindamycin, metrogel, and differin creams/gels § pregnancy

by jacquiplate, Jan 21, 2005 12:00AM
A few months ago, i had a very bad breakout of acne.  My dermatologist prescribed the aforementioned topical prescriptions (clindamycin lotion, metrogel, and differin).  I just found out I was pregnant, is it safe to continue using these drugs?

I took clindamycin while I was pregnant and everything is fine.

the metro gel is used for b/v bacteria vaginosis and if used internally (vaginal area) it is said not to be safe during first trimester but when used for acne on the face im not sure since its not used internally.
