clomid day

hi,

I have been ttc for the last 18 months and i happened to see the GYN and she told me that i would need clomid to induce ovulation.

My cycle is very irregular.

I usually spot for 5 days and then bleed.

But my last period was very strange.

I had regular flow on day one and just too little on day 2.. On day 3 there was no bleeding at all.

I called up my doc and she told me to start clomid.

I have started clomid on day 3.

Now i am concerned if i had started on the right day?

I am wondering whether i had the bledding because of the period or is it just bleeding?

Today is my CD 4 and i am very very excited.

Did anyone have this kind of situation where they started clomid on light period and ovulated?

Please help..

Also i don't have any side effects so far.

Are you sure you are not pregnant?  I thought I was getting my period also which normally last at least 5 days and I bled heavily for 1 day and lightly for the 2nd and nothing on the 3rd.  I was going to take my clomid too until  my blood results came back that I had pregnancy cells in me which meant I was apregnant and the bleeding was implentation bleeding.

I don't think i am pregnant.

i don't have any symptoms.

but i have already started clomid.

Do you think that effects the embryo just in case.
