comments and success stories of pregnancy after ablation.

Hi all,
we are a couple who have been together for over a year now, devorced/widdowed, we real want a baby, but had endometrial ablation many years ago.
There is a lot on the net about danger, but none say what or why !
Any help please ?

The risk is that the embryo would burrow directly into the uterus muscle, since ablation destroys the normal lining of the uterus.  If it does that, the fetus could die, or you could die.   I'm surprised you have not found that in your research if you have found out that it is dangerous.

You had an ablation "many years" ago?  The age on your profile is 53.  Are you yourself 53?  If so, besides the issue of whether you have a functional uterine lining, you also face issues related to your age, unless you intend to use a donor egg.  The older you are, the harder it is to get pregnant (ablation or not), and the more likely the resulting child (if you get one) might have chromosomal damage.

If you have had no periods since the ablation but are still under 40, there is the possibility of using a gestational carrier ("surrogate mother") to carry an embryo created by your egg and your husband's sperm.  This option would need to be discussed with a reproductive endocrinologist.

If you have had normal periods all along since the ablation, go see a reproductive endocrinologist for advice about your chances.

Good luck!
