congenital heart defect

hello
i am 18 weeks pregnant and its my 2nd pregnancy.  My neonatalogist told me that the fetus has an enlarge heart that it can effect the lungs development too. i just want to ask that is this problem is cureable during pregnancy with some sort of medication or the surgery is the solution after child's birth.

These are questions that can only be answered by your doctor. No one here can give you enough information to be accurate.

I will say, sometimes things change as the pregnancy progresses. Anatomy can balance out. Are they planning on doing a fetal echo? Have you consulted with a pediatric cardiologist?

If you look to the lower right portion of the screen, there is a new Neonatology forum where it says RELATED EXPERT FORUMS.

This forum may be very helpful for you, and is answered by a neonatology specialist.
