constipation in 7 month old

My 7 month old is constipated badly. i have tried prune juice and it didn't work so i took her to the doc and he told me to give her a suppository and it hasn't worked either. does anybody know anything that may help that i could try??? she hasn't had a bowel movement in 8days now!!!

How much cereal (and what type) is she eating?  It can be very constipating.

ahh yeah my son is almost one years old. and hes having such hard stools i go tommorrow to his doc. he drank so much prune juice it should be soft but its not. he actually ripped his tissue inside of such hard poop, i cant even think about the pain he is in im so mad, yes ceral rice cereal i never gave its very conspitating

My DD was always that way and still is and she is 2. Apple juice or apple sauce work well. Have you tried putting a little bit of dark kayro syrup in her formula/breast milk? Just a drop goes a long way. ALWAYS worked with my DD. Also, I ended up a couple of times having to use the liquid laxative for children. You have to be careful b/c the tube part is pretty big, but it has the vaseline already on it. Those always worked within like 30 minutes or less for us. I hated seeing her in pain and she would scream afterwards while it was coming out, but then she would be back to her old self again! HTH
