constipation in newborns

hi i have aquestion maybe u guys can help me..my 2 month old b getting constipated the consintency of the her stool is not like apple sauce like her dr say is suppost to be. I tried karo syrup in her formula similac rs.  it worked but not anymore so i tried 1/2 prune juice in a 1 1/2 of water for 2 days but she didnt go till the next day at her dr office n thats b/c she did a pinky rectal exam n thank god the stool was soft but very up there so it wasnt coming any time soon. n she has reflux too n the similac rs helped her with that but not her constipation due to the rice starch so now she is on similac sensitive but she gets fussy after feedings so her doc said is b/c of the reflux so now i have to put oatmeal in her bottle n that should help w both. But last night i was googling this so in all other post from like yahoo answers n others says do not give baby oatmeal till 4-5 mnths that it can give allergies/mess up their digestive system/even choke so at this point im worry but i think that if i werent suppost to give her that specially if she is having problems i dont think her doc would of told me if it was dangerous. so what i want to know is have you guys ever heard of putting oatmeal in babies formula at this age? n how much? did it worked?n for what reason it was given? thanks ladies i just get so worry and i want her to get better..

our pedi told us to start putting rice cereal/oatmeal in our twins bottles at 2-3 months b/c they were never full. they'd just eat and eat and eat. they're fine now. no allergies, no digestive problems (they have very healthy, active colons...they poo at least 2-3 times a day...i'm not sure where it all comes from.) and they eat everything we give them.

if it was dangerous your pedi wouldn't recommend it. you can try it and if it doesn't work stop. call the pedi and let her/him know and maybe there is something else you can try.
