hi guys, so its been confirmed that im pregnant. thing is, how can i tell if im carrying twins? im 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant, feteal age is 3weeks and 2 day. i have a huge appetite, and i look as though im 4 months preg rather than 5 weeks. lol =)
There is no way to determine if you are carrying twins until your doctor performs an ultrasound. An increased appetitie is quite commonCommon cold in early pregnancy even in singleton pregnancies. Bloating is also very commonCommon cold.
u/s is the only way to be 100% sure. i had twins (they're 14 months old now) BUT i can tell you what happened with me when we started to suspect that we were having twins. when i was about 6 weeks pregnant (we found out at 9 weeks when i went to the er for a suspected miscarriage) i had a "baby bump" already. i was a size 5 and went to a size 8 within a matter of weeks. by time i was 9 weeks i couldn't fit into regularRegular insulin jeans anymore. i had to buy maternity pants. i was having HORRIBLE back pains. it hurt so bad i couldn't walk sometimes, i was having fainting spells. when i went to the er my entire problem was that baby b (our eli james) was laying on spine and baby a (our brett michael) was laying on my sciatic nerve. and the combination of that was what made all the problems.
ask your ob to do an u/s as soon as he can to confirm your suspisons. but like quinn said though, bloating is very common.
thank you both for your comments, im seeing the midwife 17th nov and buy then i'll be around 9 weeks preg. i am starting to get very bloated and my tummy is starting to look big...so who knows!!!!
Congrats on the BFP.. :)
