I'm sorry I missed it. Its been real crazy at work and my home computer has a virus so I can logon. We've ordered another computer hopefully it comes in soon. Anyway, I'm glad you've moved it up you my dear you are hanging in there.. Nausea... uuughhhh I feel ya there. Good SIGNS.. lol I;m sorry to say that is the ONLY thing I don't like about pregnancies. I wish I could skip that part. Let me tell you it's only going to get worse.. lol I was able to get a med called Zofran. It says to take 1 every 8 hours as needed, but I'm going 2 days without it. It works WONDERFUL.. aaahh I love it. Don't get me wrong I get still a little nauseous, but not ALL DAY. Usually just at night. Other than that have you stayed away from dairy products? Has that help your stomach pains?

Don't worry my prayers are always with you. Except last night I didn't pray I fell asleep early and didn't wake up. I will pray for you so don't worry.. I'm sure your baby is fine. I'm so happy for you and we are just a week apart to cool. I'll be 8 weeks on 3/31/09. What did your ER say about the prog. and the estrgen. How much longer and how much of it?

Sounds like things are going well for you! Glad the Zofran was a help to you. I took that once...but I cannot remember why? I am on on estrogen for whatever reason..and I am not sure how much longer with the progestrone..I read somewhere that some doctors continue till 12 weeks. What did you doctor say?

I have been trying to stay away from heavy dairy and I am doing much better. I still have a glass of milk a day and that seems to be okay. I just try to stay away from heavy cheeses or sauces. I have not had the really bad stomach pains since last week. My nausea seems under control thank goodness...I have been able to force myself to eat. I do however, feel sick after and if I smell something I dont like....yuck. But I am still pretty lucky compared to what you were feeling. I do notice that I am more tired. But I dont think I am sleeping more? Just yawning allot?

I will feel like a new woman after Monday's u/s. I kind of wish I would have gone today but Monday is the day!

I will continue to pray for you and your beautiful baby! When is your next u/s? Are you still with your RE or are you moving on to OB? I think you may have said that your RE sees you till 12 weeks?

Yes.. aahhh the progerstone.. thats killin me. I'm taking 1cc it hurts. I get nauseas everytime I get it. My next u/s is on April fools Wednesday (4/1/09). So we'll see how it goes. My ER will not release me till 12 weeks and that's how long I should still be on Progerstone. I guess we should be glad our ER's are being cautious since the prog. helps to not miscarry. After the 12 weeks I'll be going to my regular OB. My ER did say there were going to start decreasing the meds so by the time I go to my OB i'm completely off everything.

Did they tell you anything about the meds?

I am not sure about the meds. That is going to be the first thing I ask. I am excited about my u/s on Monday. I have a feeling if (I mean when) we see the h/b on Monday my RE will be cutting me loose? I think that is what they did to my friend. I dont like that but I have an OB appt set up for April 20th. It is going to stink having to wait 3 weeks for another doctor appt. I am still trying to find an OB so I will probably try to go to another one the 2nd week of April. I am kind of new to the area I live in and I am having to find a doctor. It is really hard. I have 2 pregnant friends but my insurance does not cover where they go. So I am forced to research on the web to try to find blogs and discussions about the best doctors and hospitals in my area (Washington DC)

Me to I can't wait for your u/s. I wonder if you have mutiples.. hehehe. I live in TX and it is hard to find a someone you can trust or at least feel comfortable with. I've been with mine for over 7 years and I'll tell you what. The first thing I looked for is someone who was going to take there time w/me and not go in and out of my room. I made sure they went by appointments so I don't have to wait forever. My doc is female so she explains everything to me in detial and she is pretty gentle. She is the only doctor in her office so I don't have to worry about any other doctors delievering me. You know. Good luck in finding your OB. BTW how are you feeling?

I am feeling pretty well. Just a bit of queezyness here and there.
As far as multiples that is pretty much out of the question for me. I already had an u/s and there was only one amnionic sac and one yolk sac so it is only one.

Kind of wish it was two so I could say...I am done with all this crud (IVF) but I guess we will try again. We would really like 2 children (one boy one girl....but were not trying to be greedy!) :-)

Well I had my u/s early this morning. Like I said it is only one. (but that is okay!)
The little h/b WAS BEATING like a champ! YEAH!!! Thank you GOD! It was 128 and the doctor said that was excellent. I was nervous cause it seemed lower then what I had read. She said that 110-160 was considered normal and there was not an indicator of better health if the heartrate was higher. You said some babies are just more relaxed then others and also the h/b fluctuates. Next time it might be higher. So that is good. I am so happy and feel so reassured! They are going to see me next week again. They said there is not a reason for it, but they just want me to feel reassured since my OB appt is not till 10 weeks. They know that 3 weeks is a long time for an IVF patient to go without news. I feel good that they want to make me feel reassured!

My 2ww is finally up - sort of. I went early this morning for my beta test and my Dr's office is always great at calling me before 10:30. Wouldn't you know that they picked today to be the day that they are taking their time to get back to me. I am sure they are busy but I am getting extremely antsy!!

Hello Yeah Im okay just patiently waiting. I had u/s done yesterday at my work because I was having pains on my right side. She saw a sac with the start of what she thought was the yolk sace and said I was 5 weeks and 2 days. I have my official u/s in 2 days so I hope I see something more. A little nervous, but im praying everyday. They stopped checking my hcg levels after the third one so I have no idea what my hcg is and that is driving me nuts. Hope all is well with you. Glad to hear your morning sickness is better. That has to be awful. Sometimes I wish I had morning sickness so I felt pregnant. I know thats going to bite me in the *** but you know what I mean... All I have are sore bbs and very tired everyday.

I was reading your post so you leave in Washington DC you are too close to me then I leave in MD I am sure you heard about the shady grove in DC I heard that they offer a money back guaranteed for IVF if the IVF don't succeed, the only thing is you have to give them flat rate amount and I think the price can go from 20k to 30k. My DH and I was thinking about doing it, but we change our mind and went some where else instead.

Wow, that is great. We are neighbors. Where are you going for your fertility treatments? I have heard fantastic things about Shady Grove. They really are supposed to be the best. My friend is going there. You are correct it is around 25K. I am not sure about the money back gaurentee. However, I do know that she pays that flat fee and gets up to 6 attempts at IVF. I actually went to ART at Walter Reed. They are rated in the top 20 in the nation.
The one thing I missed and I know Shady Grove is amazing at is the hands on approach. They are extremely responsive and spend a lot of time educating the patient. I did not really feel like I got that. Don't get me wrong..I am pregnant and I am GREATFUL. If I asked a question they were there for me.....but I felt like I needed to ask instead of them offering the information.

Anyway, so good to have a local girl. More then happy to chat with you anytime!

Sorry I did not post back yesterday - it was a crazy situation. By 4:30 my DR had not called so I called their office and the lab never faxed them the results to the test. They called the lab and when they got the results the lab only ran a negative/positive test and not the numbers... I was beside myself, but they said the lab was going to run the other test and they would call me this morning with the numbers.

I am proud to report that I got a BFP!! The number they gave me this morning was 797. The test was done 14dp3det. I go again tomorrow morning for another hcg test along with my progesterone and estrogen test. Unfortunately I developed an allergic reaction to the progesterone in sesamee oil after taking it for 2 weeks so they are switching me to progesterone in olive oil injections...can't wait until those stop!!

i just had my u/s done today and i am 5wks and 6 dys. you can bearly see the h/b of my singleton but now im on bedrest and worried cause a subchorionic bleed was found. i have read alot on the internet, but im not sure how big my bleed is and the m/c rate can depend on that, but i have not had any bleeding and my little one has a heart beat so im trying to stay positive.

Yeah we are really close, I leave in Columbia and I also did my last IVF in Walter Reed.
I heard the advertisement for the shady grove in the radio about money back guaranteed, but that was 1 year ago, I only called them and ask them how much it cost and that's how I found out that you have to put in a flat amount. My D/H was thinking about going there, but when we found out that Walter Reed was cheaper we went and did our IVF in Walter Reed. I havent heard that advertisement anymore maybe they decided to remove it, because I am sure a lot of people probably calling them. 25k for 6 attemps still good.

I know what you mean you will really need to be proactive when doing IVF in Walter Reed, they are really nice people, but when it come getting more information from them to follow up communication I didn't get it from them that much I have to keep calling them for any question. I know they told me to call the pager for any emergency I am sure I call that number a few times, because I cannot get through with the rest of the number they provided to me. I have to leave message all the time then wait for some one to call you back.

I know they are really busy, I was thinking of changing hospital maybe going to Bethesda or John Hopkins, but it's kind of hard to change doctor because you have to start all over again so we decided to continue our next cycle from them. I hope next the communication is a little bit better.

I will be doing my next cycle around July I have to call them for schedule of baseline sonogram maybe around May or June. I am praying that I don't get any surgery before my IVF cycle again, for some reason every time they do my baseline sonogram they always see pylop I am just praying that this time I don't have it.

I had anthr u/s sound today and all is going well. My lil peanut seems to be growing it was at 3 mm 2wks ago and now it's 17 mm. I asked about still spotting brown and he said my lining and uterus are shifting and is blocking my birth canal and that's causing me to spot, but not to worry since everything is shift expanding it will eventually position itself, but if for some crazy reason it doesn't I will have to have a c-section. As everyone knws I"m taking Zofran for the naesua I was not taking it every 8 hrs. I was just taking as needed which was at least every 2-3 days. However, here latelly I dn't know if it's b/c my peanut is growing it's causing me to feel sick more frequently...with that said I am now increasing my meds at least once a day.

How is everyone feeling?

I almost forgot... They have decreased my meds.. YES!!! I am so excited about that. I am now taking 1/2 cc of prog. (i was taking 1cc) and 1 vivelle patch (i was using 2). By April 21 I stop all my meds.. FINALLY!!!! I'm sooo happy about the progestrone... That's the main one that's PAINFUL. Ok everyone have a blessed day..

Hey you. Good to hear from you. I am so glad everything is going well for you! I think you read that everything is going well for me too. I am so thankful. Still no serious nausea for me. (knock on wood) Just quiessiness. It is strange..I will feel so yucky and feel like I do not want to eat...but then I force myself and luckily once I start eating I feel okay. Then I get done and feel yucky again. I am happy for that. I am thankful I can at least get down a meal.

I had my 2nd beta test and progesterone level done this morning. My first beta was 797 14dp3dt and today 16dp3dt it was 1634 with progesterone of 89.7. I get my ultrasound in two weeks!

I'm so glad you are doing good.. and yes I responded to your response. The queasiness is all you are getting.. You are sooo lucky. I'm telling you I"m still feelg sick and I already to my med. I just took a Tumms to see if that helps. I just found out what indigestion was.. lol. I've never had it. This preg. is completely different than my son's. I so think I'm having a girl. The feeling you are getting.. you feel bad before and after you eat, but not during that's all me. I'm telling mine is so bad. Have you found an OB yet?

Hey guys,

Sorry, but my home computer has been down due to some bad storms that came through last week and I tried to sneek at work on Tues and post but it wouldn't let me after I typed everything. I am so excited to read about all the newbies and the good news, I have also been doing OK since my fall. I have decided to trust my doc telling me everything will be OK and I go back for another u/s in 2wks to scan for downs syndrome. I am praying everything will be ok with the twins and I just know it will. I am gaining weight and belly fast, how bout all the other preggo's??? My boobs are so sore and gigantic that my husband is a very happy man these days....hee, hee, hee!! I am so happy to hear good news from all of you and hope that anyone waiting for a beta test or u/s will also receive good news!!! Prayers to all!

trying2bpatient---I am so with you on the meds, I have 2 wks and then I am done. I don't think my butt cheeks could handle much more. Glad to hear about your u/s and wonderfully strong hb. Will continue to keep you in my prayers!!

How is the MS going for you?  I keep asking everyone b/c I CAN'T HANDLE IT... today is not necessarily MS i just feel sick blahhh.  I wish I was lucky enough to stay home for at least the first 3 months.

Funny you talk about your BB's.. Last night I did the mistake of not putting on a bra.. man when I woke up in the middle of the night they felt heavy and stiff they hurt.. It was the weirdiest thing.. Not doing that again.  lol

OMG--the bra is a necessary thing these days, pretty much 24/7. I sleep in one everynight, b/c I feel you on the heavy, stiff, hurt feeling! The m/s has gotten a little better, but somedays are horrible. I have continued my acupuncture and that has helped so much. I am sorry to hear you have been so sick. When is your next appt and when will your doc turn you loose?? I didn't have a choice, b/c fertility is not covered on my insurance, so my doc cut me loose at 7 wks. It has been hard though b/c I have not been to the doc since I was 8wks and I am so nervous about having to have waited a whole month to see if everything is o.k. I am hopeful and praying that they are both still o.k.. I did something crazy this week, I ordered one of those fetal doppler's to keep at the house so I could hear the hearbeats whenever I want. I am excited for it to come and hopefully that will put my mind at ease for the next 2wks until I go back to the doc. Well, thank you for the prayers and I am continuing to pray for you and your family. I just know that we are both on our way to having our dreams come true. I hope your morning sickness gets somewhat better, and your should look for an acupuncturist to see if that would help. It has really helped me. Prayers and keep in touch!!!

Saseygirl-I am so glad that everything is going so well for you! I am sorry you have to wait so long for your doctor but I am sure everything is going just fine. Where did you order your fetal doppler?

Trying2bpatient- M/S HAS ARRIVED! :-) I am still not doing quite as bad as you but the last few days I have REALLY felt yucky...to the point where the mouth is watering and you just know you are going to throw up...but then I dont. I am queasy all the time and it gets really bad some times. I had to leave dinner with my family on Sunday. I ordered my meal and it got there and I was like..oh boy, I am not going to eat that!! :-) I do not want to even LOOK at it! :-) Yesterday was equally as rough and then last night I got bad heartburn which I still have today. Barely slept last night due to the pain in my chest. Now I am sitting here trying to figure out what to do to make it go away! Hope I do not get progress to the point you are! Sounds even worse!
Although today I would take the nausea over the heartburn. I drank some OJ last night and I think that is what did me in!! Note to self...no acidic foods at night! :-0

I had another u/s today! Things look good! Heartbeat is up to 173! And the baby actually moved while we were doing the u/s. SO crazy! but so great! Praying for continued success!! Due date: November 17th. My next u/s is at 10 weeks. April 20th.

That's awesome news!. I'm sorry to hear about your M/S when mine is bad it's really bad. Wow you actually saw the baby move.. TOO COOL! What did it do? I have an u/s every two weeks until my 12 week and so far I haven't seen anything. We are litterly I week apart my due dates is 11-10-09. I have to say thank goodness for Zofran its helped me. I do admit sometimes it doesn't, but for the most part I can't complain. Also, what is the size of your baby? At on 4-1-09 I was exactly 8 wks 1 day and my baby went from 3 mm at 6 wks to 17 mm. It's amazing how quickly it's growing in a 2 wk time frame. The only thing they didn't tell me was the rate of the h/b sniff sniff. It did sound louder than the last time. Another thing I learned is what indigestion was uugghh. That is sooo grows.. Tums helps and constipation Senokot. These two are wonderful and save for the baby. This pregnancy is soooo different. I can't wait for the last month of my 1st trimester.. My next u/s is on 4-15-09.

Hey you- It was so exciting to see the baby move. It wiggled back and forth. It was so funny. It was like..."hey mommy and daddy...don't worry I am just fine" haha...or at least that is what I heard! haha
I am not sure how big the baby measured? All they said was that I was supposed to be 8 weeks 1 day and I measured 8 weeks 0 days? I will have to ask next time. My next u/s is with OB on April 20th.
I am glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. I know all too well about indigestion. I have had stomach issues my whole adult life. Some days now when I eat cheese or something.....my tummy KILLS me! oh boy!
What are you eating? Are you reading any good books? Have you told your job yet?

Question?

I am kind of scared because my doctor is taking me off the meds now that I am 8 weeks. Is anyone else stopping at 8 weeks that had a regular IVF and not FET? My doctor said that if I had FET or Donor it would be longer, but since my ovaries actually produced the eggs and we went right into IVF 8 weeks is the longest I should be on meds. (sited studies that show a negative effect if on too long???)

I do not want to go against my doctor since they have high success numbers....but it just makes me nervous?? I think most of you are on till 12 weeks? I have only been on protegerone since ET so that already has made me nervous since most of you are on estrogen. Thanks for the advice

I am not as far along as you are but I do have an answer about the estrogen. I was on estrogen plus progesterone but the reason my Dr put me on that is because it helps aid in the implantation of the embryo. I just had my first ultrasound today and since the did see the forming of the fetal pole and a faint flicker of the heartbeat they are now going to take me off the estrogen and mini aspirin.

As for the progesterone, my Dr said it depended on my body and how soon I was producing it on my own. Right now I have a hyperstimulated ovary and that is what is causing me some pain on my left side. They said it should go back to normal between 8-10 weeks when the baby takes over doing things on its own. So, consider yourself a lucky one if you are allowed to stop the progesterone; it just means things are going well with your body!! Each individual is different (like that isn't said enough) and I am excited for you that everything is going GREAT!!

Good morning.. Sorry I am so swamped I haven't had a chance to get on. About the med's I'm still on Progestrone and I haven't used the patches although the doc did say to keep using them.. I know.. The progestrone is what helps you not m/s unless your body is producing enough..However, my ovaries also produced they eggs the ER used meds to stimulate them and our bodies are trying to adpated to being preg. Bascially it was just a precaution. I'm stoping my meds on the 4-21-09. So don't worry if they have been checking your levels and are coming out fine then you have nothing to worry about.

I'm just reading magazines.. Nothing special.. and you?

Hey everybody, just checking in. We had spring break last week and having the kids everyday was a handful, no napping for me. How is everyone doing, so happy to see so many BFP's flying around. How is everyone feeling that is preggo????

About the meds, I was told I had to be on them until 12wks, but that is just what my doc said and they are all different. I am so happy to say that tomorrow night will be the last night for my meds. I am so happy to be done with the shots!! I will be 12wks on thursday and I feel so happy to have made it. I think I told you guys I ordered a fetal doppler and I have had so much fun with it, you can start using them at 10wks but lots of doc's don't recommend them b/c they think it adds more stress if you can't find the heartbeat, but for me it was opposite, I have been at ease since I have been able to listen to them both. I have learned that one is lazy and never really moves out of the same spot, but the other is a sneaky little booger, and very hard to find sometimes.

Well, I hope everyone is doing good and I will check in soon, keep the good news coming!!!!!

I've been feeling so sick. I had my doc's appt today everything went well. The baby went from 17 mm to 35 mm. I was able to make out the head, hands, feet, abdomen very cleary.. I saw it move it was wonderful. lol I start laughing. It look so cute, but I must say this little peanut is kicking my butt. I'm on zofran, but I'm still feeling sick. All the smells and I can't eat hardly anything b/c i feel sick after words. Man and I gasy. Constantly burping.. GROSS.. I don't know how to make it stop.

I'm glad to see you are doing great. Where did you find the doppler at? Was it pricey?

So Sorry to hear about how sick you have been, my sickness has eased up a lot, but I have been no where close to where you are. I really hope that you feel better soon. I got to see my little peanuts yesterday and today and they were flopping all around....so cute. The doc I saw yesterday said he was going to go out on a limb and guess one of the babies as a boy, but when they did the 4D ultrasound I swear I saw little balls on both babies, but I will have to wait 6 more weeks to find out for sure. I got my fetal heart doppler from healthchecksystems.com and it was 115.00, but they have a cheaper version and it was quick shipment and I have had the most fun with it. They also sent me additional ultrasound gel for free with a nice little carrying case, so I guess it was not to bad considering I have been at peace being able to listen to them each day. I truly hope you get to feeling better soon and keep in touch.

Wow a 4D u/s. I bet that was amazing. So he is guessing one is a boy and you think 2 boys. Hmm that will be interesting. To find out. Yes, I don't just throw up and I'm over it. I don't throw up, but I feel nauseas ALL DAY. I sometimes can't eat anything, b/c my stomache or I should say the baby doesn't feel like it. So I have to say anything with to much seasonings, fried or if the smell is to strong I won't be able to eat. Sodas out the window even water I sometimes can't drink. Anyway, I'm finding different things to drink and eat just watermelon has been really good to me, lemonade, and ice cream.. lol I hope I only have one week and half to go... I HOPE... I'll have to look up that website I would like to order it. Well I'm glad your babies are doing great!!

hi guys ,i know iam back after long time.but iwas continuesly reading this foram,finaly i got my 1st bloodwork report yesterday,i did 2nd IVF this month but1st frozen embroyo transfer day 5,this time i did NATURAL cycle that means no medicine no injections what ever my body produced baised on that,only they tracked my ovulation throughU/S.baised on that they did transfer,i was 9dpet yesterday & i GOT MY BFP HUHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO<my beat level on day 9 is 380.i have to go back on mon,please pray 4 me to get doubble that numbers.how r u 2 doing.sassy i did b4&after acupuncture on the day of transfer i gues i got my BFP only because of acupuncture.trying2bepatient how r u girl???how is ur morning sicknes???takecare & goodluck.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so happy to hear that! Wow natural.. That's awesome.. It was your turn and it was all in God's hands. How are you doing now that you have a BFP?

I'm am now 4months 1 day.. My m/s is finally calmed down alot, but here and there I'm still getting it and I still can't eat things with to many spices..

Girly, finally a BFP yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I am so happy for you, I know what you been through the last time. That is a very high number girl? maybe triplets LOL....now its two of you who is expecting in your family your brother in-law's wife and now you. Please if you don't mind if you can give a tip to help me with BFP next time. I will be trying mine again around July. If you can tell me what book it is here is my address h a m l i n 4 e v e r a t y a h o o d o t c o m. I am still waiting for my period to come so I can make another appointment the last time it was cancel, my period just sneak a little, but then it went away so I have to cancel my appointment. Now I am just waiting again I can wait for my next one hopefully next time I have enough embreyo so it can be freeze I am close to my age that they only do it up to 40-41 age. At least if I have freeze embreyo they don't really care any more.

Keepp us posted as always.....Again I am soooooooo happy for you and your hubby....

everyone: I have not logged on in quite sometime. Between exhaustion, nausea, work and daily home life I have been extended beyond my means. I am glad to see everyone is doing well and things are going great. I will be 12wks on Friday and I had my ob appointment last Wednesday (5/13). It was right before I was 11 wks and they were not sure if they would here a heartbeat with the doppler or not but they tried any way and... it was there loud and clear! 160 bpm!! It was nice to hear it and know it was still there. I took my last progesterone shot on Thursday of last week and I can not tell you enough how thrilled I am to be done with all of that!! Good luck to everyone!

Hello, I am new here.... you are completely right. God knows what he is doing. I am 6dp a blastocyst 5dt and I had a bfn. I will test again in 2 days and I go for my beta on thursday. God will bless me when He thinks is the right time.

Hi ladies!
I did my et yesterday after the transfer I went to do accupuncture .he convinced me to put a heat lamp over my feet and he put one needle in my stomach he said that those things are very good to help the embryo to stick... So im gonna go insane very.... that I shouldnt let him put the heat lamp over my feet or using any needle on my stomach area... Have anyone done this on the day of et did it end up in good result
