cramps after ovulation????!!!! PLZ HELP

Hi every1. i hope some1 out there can help me. my cycle is 28 days and i took an opk on may9 it was + so the next day me and dh did bd. my problem is cramping. i usually have lite cramps the day i O and this time i had lite cramps on may9, may10 and now today again. my O cramps usually only last 1/2day or 1 full day so im confused. then last nite at 2am i woke up with heavy cramps and it was in my left side just above pubic bone. it hurt so bad that i felt it in my dream jus b4 waking. (very vivid dream btw) anyway, has this ever happened to any1 could something be rong??..this is very unsual for me..plz help. any responses would be great..thx

I am going throught the same thing. Cramps everyday after ovulation. I looked it up and it seems to be very normal, in fact it is a positive sign of your fertility. Im also hoping it means my uterus is getting ready for the fertilized egg!

Look it up on google by putting in "cramping after ovulation". Dont panic. They wake me up too and are so annoying but at least now you will know why!

it's so weird you're asking about this - i was gonna give myself one more day and if it didn't stop was going to ask about it. i too am having cramps. i don't know exactly when i ovulated b/c i'm not trying to conceive this month - i had my 2nd m/c in march and we're waiting for results from testing to see what problem could be so in the meantime not trying to get pregnant. i felt cramps starting on sunday so i assumed i was ovulating (i don't always cramp when ovulate so wasn't sure) - it was day 17 of my cycle and i know that in the past i've had later ovulation days (especially when not on clomid/letrazole). anyway i cramped some more on monday and a little bit on tuesday too (nothing too terrible) and this morning woke up with weird feeling in stomach (not exactly crampy feeling) - in the past i've felt this way in the beginning of my pregnancies (even before tested) i'd wake up with this feeling and then when i'd get up and moving it would go away. and then today had a little more cramping. i highly doubt i'm pregnant and in any case it would be way too early to be feeling this but i can't figure out what it is - i've never had it before. i'm glad to hear that it's normal to have this after ovulation, but it's strange for me to be having it as i've never noticed having it before. anyone know about how long it normally lasts? i guess if it persists for much longer i'll call my dr., but was wondering if anyone had anymore thoughts on it. thanks so much.

hi..i to have never experienced this b4. thats why i asked cuz i never new that O cramps would last this long. i actually keep thinking af is gonna be extremely early but at the same time the cramps arent the same as af. theyre similar but not the same..if that makes sense at all..well anyway, mine arent going away. they kida go off and on and every now and then they get really bad to the point that i have to lay down. i thought about taking some alive last nite for the pain to go away but i held out. anyway..i hope we get more responses tho i would love to hear more about this..

me too. i'm gonna see how i feel tomorrow. now i don't have anymore cramps, but we'll see if i get that weird feeling in the morning. we'll see what happens i guess. i'm sorry you're in pain, but it's nice to know someone else is getting these feelings and i'm not just imagining them. hope you feel better soon though.

HI, are your cramps pms kind of cramps or ovulation type pains in the ovary area? Because last month I had that the day I O'd and for the next 2 weeks off and on! Then AF reared her ugly head and I had them really bad in my left ovary the night before. I thought I might be PG, but am not. Now I worry that I have a cyst or something. Our bodies are so complicated!! I have a DR appt. next week to see. Good luck!

I never actually paid much attention - but this time around I am noticing some lite cramps - it should be around o time, so I'm betting that's what it is. Thanx for mentioning this - I'm glad to know that this is a good sign!

berko- i never really get crampy when i O. i usually get crampy for af tho. i cramped a lil only 1 day last cycle when i O'ed and it was the same type of cramps i have now except for some reason like i said they are lasting longer and every now and then get pretty bad.

nikita2477- my cramps are like O pains in overy area..it started only on left side but then today i felt shart type of pains on my right side to. now i just feel lite O type cramps. hopefully it will all turn out as a bfp for all of us.. =)

I too have been having cramps. First I thought they were bc I o'd later than I thought. Then I thought its was bc dh and I bd too much. But they are still here and it is thursday. They started about friday or starturay. They aren't very stong (not enough to make me lay down) but strong enough for me to be uncomfortable and know they are there. I sure hope it is a sign of fertility. I have never had o cramps before...ever. Still 8 days before af is due.

i have never had o cramps b4 either. last cycle and this cycle are my 1st times ever having em. last month they were lite and only for like 1day. now ive had em for like 3days. they have been lite today. yesterday they were a lil worse and last nite they were really bad and woke me up. i thought af was here even tho its way to early. this morning they were off and on but not anymore. now they are just making me uncomfortable like u said. (sorry tmi)i to hope that its a sign of fertility.

i really don't know b/c i don't usually get very crampy. i've been a little crampy the last few days and in morning am getting not a crampy feeling more like just a weird feeling in stomach. i'm going to wait to see how i'm feeling tomorrow morning - the only other times i've gotten these weird feelings in the morning (that i remember) was when i was pregnant (but m/c both). my last m/c was in march so it could just be after effects still i guess, but it's true our bodies do strange things - can't predict anything - as soon as you think you know what's going on a whole other thing happens. anyway though i hope all is ok with you and cramping is nothing of concern. i've had cysts in my ovaries but never cramped or was in pain from them. good luck and please keep me posted - want to know that you're okay.

i had this last cycle of mine and asked about it on the boards i go on and many women had them and we all ended up with bfp's!!!  except mine ended in mc and now i think i am just a couple of days past ov and have the af cramps again.  and they are the type where i think af could show at any minute, like if there is any sort of dc i run to the bathroom to make sure af did not come early.  hth!!
