do ovulation kits work when pregnant?

hi, probably seems like a strange question, i am using a digital opk, i justb wanted to know that if you in early stages of pregnancy, like3weeks, would the smiley face that indicates your most fertile time still show up? I know these kits do not tell you if you are pregnant but i thought women do not ovulate when they are pregnant? im kinda confused. I bought this kit as have been TTC for quite a few months now and wondered if i was ovulating reguarly. Seems that i am on CD15.This is when i did the test and the little smiley face came up. Hope you can help. xx

I don't think women ovulate if they are pregnant. Are you trying to see if you are pregnant?

no i wasnt trying to see if i was pregnant, just to see if i was ovulating, i asked that becoz i wasnt sure if it would work if i was in the very early stages as women do not ovulate when pregnant, just wanted to check, thanx

by the way, can a sore throat/cold be a symptom of pregnancy? would probably b a rare one but just wondered.  xxx

You will not ovulate if your pregnant, but if you are pregnant the ovulation test will come up positive because ovulation tests will pick up HCG in you urine just like LH and give you a positive.

Twice I have used an opk to see if I was pg at both times it was right!  I was pregnant.  So yes you can get the "fertile" symbol when you are pg.
