drying breast milk up

Hi i have a quick question i was just wondering some ways to relieve breasts while drying up breast milk..i unfort cant feed my newborn due to his problems and cant even give him pumped milk..so mine as well dry up...i have been wearing tight bras and icing them..but nothing is working i have huge hard bumps all over and am in increddible pain..its actually worse then delievery lol..any suggestions would be great..also..i had blake on Monday afternoon and now again this morning i started bleeding a lot and bright red again...does this mean i should probaly call the dr..

i would give your dr a call..maybe you are doing too much.  i did the same thing but i was up and down stairs tooo much.  as far as breast milk, cabbage leaves that have been in the fridge and put them in your bra and change every few hours.  also, i had a beer a day and wham!!  Gone.  dont know what worked best but my breast milk dried up in exactly one day at 6mths.  :)

Hi, I hope Blake is doing okay. I think you are doing everything you can to help dry your milk up but you could take some painkillers for the discomfort if that would help.
I know Blake was born with some problems and that's why he can't have your milk right now but could you pump and freeze your milk for later or will he never be able to have it? I know when my baby was in the NICU I froze my milk for him, just a thought.

If you have huge hard bump and are in incredible pain, I would call your dr to make sure its not an infection.
