ectopic pregnancy, treatment with Metotraxate, side effects

Hi everybody,
I had an ectopic pregnancy 3 weeks ago and my doctor gave me 80 mg metotraxate. My Bhcg levels dicreased from 3500 to 910 in 3 weeks. I am feeling very tired, and ill. Yesterday I gat a terrible flu, I have difficulties in respiration. Could you please help me on the side effects of MTX? My illness can it be related to this treatment?

I was given my shots on February 5th and then the second on February 12. I am not completely out of the woods but I am at 953 from 10,650. It has been a month and I as well as you was feeling very tired all the time and I also felt flu like symptoms. You should call your Dr and speak to him regarding the matter. I am now feeling better but I still have days where I feel like **** and I get a lot of cramping. Hopefully you will start feeling better soon but make sure you let your Dr know whatever it is your feeling as this medication is very serious.

One more question, do you remember the dose of your shots?

no I really didn't ask but i was given two shots the first time and two shots the second. You will start feeling better trust me; try to relax as much as you can remember your body is still going through pregnancy until your levels are completely down.
