ectopic pregnancy

Hi, this is a long one. I didn't know i was 2months pregnant. I had vaginal bleeding and only to find out that i had an ectopic pregnancy whereby the foetus is growing on the right hand side of the fallopian tubes. I underwent a surgery to remove the foetus. Then, i was given an injection due there's some pregnancy tissues left which are active. Doctors are still monitoring me. I really don't know whats next. My gynae doesn't really give me good hopes for my future. Doc saved my right tubes, but my left tube are also blocked but doc cleared the blockage. However, she said the tubes will get block again anytime. And theres nothing can be done. She just say, "we can only wait and see". And the chances of reoccurence is very high as both tubes are unhealthy.Thats not promising at all. So, if the tubes are block, my chances of ectopic pregnancy will be very high. I really wanted to have a baby on my own. Isn't there any medicine or anything to prevent the tubes being blocked? After the injection, she advised me not to try to conceive for the next 6 months as there will be side effects on the new pregnancy. Which means, by then, my tubes will be block again. So, basically my chances of future pregnancy is zero! Now, isn't there any solution for my case? i'm really really worried. Please help me

The methotrexate they gave you to dissolve the rest of the tissue is indeed very dangerous to a subsequent pregnancy if it comes too soon.  But they will be able to do a test of your tubes by running dye into your uterus and seeing how it comes out (an HSG test), after the period of waiting for the chemicals to clear your system is over.  At least then you will know if your tubes did get blocked again.  Unfortunately since your one ectopic was removed with surgery rather than just with a shot, it will be more likely to have caused tubal scarring.  But you shouldn't give up hope, it might be that after the 6-month wait your tubes (or one tube) will still be clear enough for the passage of an egg.  If both tubes get blocked, it is not impossible to get pregnant with your own egg, but you will need medical help to get the eggs from the ovaries to the uterus.  So if (at the 6-month point) your tubes are both blocked, ask your doctor if you can be recommended to a fertility specialist for this.  Good luck!
