endometrial biopsy after previous progesterone use

by maffie, Feb 28, 2004 12:00AM
I was put on progesterone suppositories after having had two early miscarriages. I then proceeded to have a third miscarriage at 7 weeks (january 2004), so my ob-gyn agreed to start infertility testing. I had an HSG this month, and was supposed to have an endometrial biopsy at the end of this cycle, but that had been postponed to  the end of my next cycle because he is away on the days I need. I would like to take my progesterone this month in case I got pregnant this month. If I take 100 mg natural progesterone bid from day 15-26 of this cycle (end of february), could it affect the results of my endometrial biopsy being done at the end of my next cycle (i.e early April).

thanks.

Wish I could help you but I know nothing about it. Can you ask your DR? I too had two early m/c, seems they stop growing around 5 weeks or so and I'm wondering about the progesterone as well. I don't know much about it and all the information on it is so contraversial. What do you think?
