extra fluid in uterus??

by lamcol, Oct 11, 2004 12:00AM
I had an ultrasound at 6weeks 6days. We saw a fetus with heartbeat. My ob called me later and told me everything looked good, but they did find extra fluid in my uterus, which he wasn't concerned about, but said he would do a follow-up ultrasound at 10 weeks to check on it. I saw it on the ultrasound becuase the technicians were talking about it, and it looked to me like a sac of fluid. Any ideas on what this could be?? Thanks.

Could it be possible you had another baby (a twin). But lost it.

I'm about 4-5 weeks pregnant and my doctor saw fluid in my uterus also. I'm not worried about it.  I don't know...I'm doing a lot of research on it myself. I'll let you know if I find anything interesting/might help.

I just had an u.s. at 8 weeks and they saw the same thing.  They didn't tell me much but want to re-scan in 10 days.  I was wondering about it being another baby that didn't survive as well.  The tech just said that it is usually just a fluid sac and it usually goes away.  However, she didn't give me much more info besides that.
