fertility specialist

i went to see the fertility specialist for the first time on wednesday and this is what happened.
first of all it was going through loads of paper work and questions which took ages then she said as i had conceived once (but miscarried at 7 weeks and had to have a d + c) last april that she cant see any obvious reasons for me not concieving, she next proformed a scan of my uterus and ovaries where she discovered my lining was perfect for the time of the month then she looked at my ovaries left one first no follicules ready for this month then she looked on the right and there was a massive follicule ready for ovulation, i could not believe it when i seen so all i have to do now is go for another blood test this friday to see what my progesterone levels are. if these are all ok they are going to leave me for another 6 months (its been 2 years 4 months since first trying and 18 months since my miscarriage)
has anyone else had a similar problem with trying to concieve (conceive)?

No problems in conceiving...My DH and I have conceived 3 times this year but have had m/c each time....this is all after a healthy pregnancy 2 yrs ago....we don't understand it.

I've chosen not to got to a specialist at this time....I think you are brave to go through all of this.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know as much as anyone on here how hard it is to lose your baby...I've lost 3 in 7 mos.

I agree with the last poster...it may NOT be your problem...could be hubby?

I'M PRAYING FOR YOU.  IN GOD'S PERFECT TIMING...BELIEVE HE WILL BLESS YOU AGAIN.

I really think you should persue fertility meds, IUI or something... if you have been TTC for that long, then there is something up.... We have been TTC for 2 years and I had everything checked out including, scans, all bloodwork (including the clotting disorder, one), laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, HSG, endometrial biopsy, etc......THE LIST COULD GO ON!!! and they found NOTHING wrong with me.... My DH is also fine (he has had numerous testing done too)....They told us Unexplained Infertility....
Clomid worked once but we M/c.....so now we are on to IVF....
So, I would insist on ferility meds or some kind of help!!!!
ANyway that is my opinion...good luck to you!!!!
