fertility

I am attempting to get pregnant after a miscarriage in december, 2003.  My fetus stopped developing at 6 weeks and it was discovered at 8 weeks and attributed to chromosonal difficulties.  we had a D&C.

Now, I attempted at first ovulation to get pregnant (January) the early pregnancy test (as early as 5 days before you miss you period) showed a thin pink line that disappeared by the time my period was expected and i was three days late.  Month two, same result.  Month two had three positive tests, but the time of my period, it had disappeared and i got my cycle on day 33.

Am I getting pregnant and my body isn't supporting the growth or are those early tests not to be trusted?  I've heard about the role of the corporal luteum being in charge of progesterone and wondered if that was a factor.

I have heard of chemical pregnancies...I am wondering if that is what you are experiencing.  I do not know too much about what chemical pregnancies are...but, I think that could be what you are having.  Check in to that...maybe look on the internet for more info.

What megaball is saying is one possibility.  Also, it could still be the HCG from your preg. in Dec that is showing up on the test- although I don't know how long HCG can stay in your system AFTER the D&C, cuz I'd think you def. wouldn't still pick it up in Feb (Jan is possible) so anyways....you should go have a blood test done by doc to chk pregnancy and HCG levels.

thanks for the feedback!  I will contact my dr with these questions to check blood levels and "chemical pregnancies."
