did you have chromosome testing done on yourself or on the child?

Why does your doctor say it happened? Low amniotic fluid without you leaking is often caused by the child having a kidney issue - the amniotic fluid is essentially made by what they excrete from their body.

Are you talking about amniocentesis?  Did they do a chromosome test on the fetus during an amnio?

There can unfortunately be fetal anomalies even if you don't use any drugs, alcohol, or smoking.  It can happen randomly.  And not all cleft lip and palates are associated with abnormal chromosomes, although some are.

I'm sorry for your loss.
