food schedule

For the ladies who  have little munchkins on solids
What kind of feeding schedule do you have
Cody is 8.5 months now
I can get a good breakfast into him and supper but its the lunch time that usually goes un wanted or left out when your getting busy
He will wake up at 7-8  I give him a bottle
then at 10 usually fruit and cereal
then about 11-1130 bottle number 2 so by noon obviously doesnt want to eat at noon
2:30-3 bottle  then supper and then a late bottle 7-8 pm
He wont drink 8 oz its usually more bottles with about 6 oz in it..

My guy is now 9 months old:

Wake 6 a.m. - drink 4 oz

Between 7:30 and 8:00 - cereal mixed with 2 oz of formula plus 1/2 to one whole jar of fruit, plus water offered in sippy cup.

Between breakfast and lunch we try to get 4 oz of formula in him but he hates his bottles and it's a struggle.

Lunch - 1 jar of a meat/veggie dinner plus cereal mixed with 2 oz of formula, plus water offered in sippy cup.

Between lunch and dinner try to get 6 oz of formula in him, he typically takes a 4 oz bottle at 4:00 p.m. very well and then 2 oz somewhere in there

Dinner, 6pm - 1 jar of meat plus 1 jar of veggies, plus fruit if he's still hungry.

Before bed - 4 oz bottle

I feed little "C" whenever I feel like it.  I am soooooooooo lazy when it comes to solids.  I usually nurse and if he still seems fussy I might shove some applesause down this throat (not really shove LOL!!!!)  I have been giving him more of what we eat.  He gets small peices of breat or pasta but mostly he eats Gerber Fruit Puffs most of the day.  I know I am such a bad mom.  The truth is I am just a "burnt" out mom.  I am having lunch tomorrow with my best friend and I am NOT going to want to come home.  Take Care

You don't suck, I'm sure your kids are doing great.  My son is in daycare 4 days per week so I have to help him be structured because the daycare is structured.  By law they can only feed the kids at certain pre-determined times, so I have to help him be used to eating at the normal breakfast-lunch-dinner times.

I would try giving him his cereal first at 7 am and then the bottle at about 9:30 or 10 am.  My little guy is 15 months and I can't keep food out of his mouth - always screaming for more food!  This is his schedule.  Wake 6:00 or 6:30 Breakfast and water.  9-10 a 4 oz bottle of milk, snack about 10:30 am or sooner w/water 1 hour nap or so, lunch 12 or 1 with water, bottle at 2 or 3 4 oz again, hour 1/2 nap at about 3:30, dinner around 5:30 or 6, bath at 7, bed at 7:30 or 8pm, sleeps all night.  He is really an easy baby, wish my second would have been like him. Always joke and say if my second would have been the first, probably would have been an only child!  He's a real handful!

Carrigan is up anywhere from 7-8. She'll eat cereal and 2 oz of milk. then have a bottle sometime before lunch, but it may be a juice bottle. Then around 12/1 she has fruit/veggie. In the afternoon she takes a milk bottle and has supper (fruit/veggie) around 6. She will take cereal and another 4 oz. of milk around 8:30 and she's gone for the night.

Blondie: your by no means a bad mom.

Gabby will be six months old on the 2nd of August.  She is on an almost identical feeding schedule to your little one's.  She takes about 6 1/2 - 7oz in her bottle.  She's gaining weight, is very happy, and sleeps well.  I think those are the most important things.  I really wouldn't worry too much.  Sounds to me like you are doing great.

On a side note, Gabby sat in her highchair for the first time today.  She did sooooo  well, no sliding around or fighting or anything.  She looked so proud of herself!!!  Mommy cried that her little bitty baby was old enough for a highchair...I know I'm a geek!

Hope all is well!

Carrigan is 8.5 months and she weighs 18lbs. She's in the 50th percentile on her weight and they say she is fine. I wouldn't worry! Carrigan only gets about 12-14 oz. of milk/day. Some may say that's not enough, but I'm not going to force her either.

Josh is 8 months and because he is nursing it is hard to know how much milk he is having but he will only take 3 feeds from me a day.

He has got himself onto a pretty good schedule actually...

He wakes up at 7 when DH gets up for work and he nurses, not for long I think he just wants it out of habit then at about 8 when I crawl out of bed he has a piece of toast with me.

He will then play for a while and finally go off for a nap, he will wake around 11:30 and has cereal and fruit (may I say a large bowl)

He will then have 5oz of juice at around 1 and then he will nurse agaian around 3 and normally goes off to sleep for a while.

He will then munch on a biscuit in the afternoon and then have a huge bowl of vegies for dinner and finaly he will go to sleep nursing and I put him down.

I could be doing everything completely wrong but he seems healthy and happy and weighs in at 20lbs.

So from what im reading 4 oz bottles ..I freak if he doesnt drink at least 6 oz and 4-5 times a day!

I just wondered if he wasnt getting enough because for the last month or two he has only been gaining on average 5-6 oz in 2 weeks..
He is 8.5 months and 17 lbs..At the begining he was gaining and gaining now seems to be just holding still!
He isnt crawling yet  so its not like he is getting alot of exercise, He looks chubby with his rolls on his legs..It just those damn charts!! I swear there invented to freak mothers out if there not in the zone!!  Dh says he is just fine!

Holly - I was on the pill for over 15 years and had no problems conceiving.  My doctor said you should have at least 2 periods after stopping the pill, so we used other protection in the meantime.  After we stopped using protection I was immediately pregnant!  Also, please don't diet while pregnant.  It's not good for the baby!  Before getting pregnant is fine, but why bother? You're going to gain weight anyway.  I was kind of like you though, I needed to lose a little weight but never did before getting pregnant.  I gained 25 lbs during pregnancy but the great news is I dropped all of that weight and more!  I was back in my regular clothes withing 3 weeks after birth and within a couple months I weighed 20 lbs LESS than I did BEFORE I got pregnant!  I contribute that to breastfeeding :)  And as far as times of the month to get pregnant, I used a calculator that I found online to predict the days when I would be most likely to conceive.  I must have worked :)  Try this one: http://www.babycenter.com/calculators/ovulation/
It will also give an estimated due date. Good luck to you!

Hello,
My name is Holly. I am 20 years old. I am planning on going off the pill (i have been on it for 3 years now) in November. I hope to get pregnant right away so I can give the news to my in-laws and my parents as an xmas gift. Do people usually have problems conceiving the first few months they go off the pill? How does it work? I also want to lose weight before I have a baby. As it is I am not comfortable in my skin. If anyone has suggestions or would like to chat, please email me at butterfly_baybee2005***@**** I will respond to everyone!
Also, will you only conceive on certain days of the month? I can use as much information as I can
