Has anyone fractured or bruised etc. their tailbone during childbirth? It is hard to sit on the pews at church etc. due to the pain and it has been 2 months plus postpartum!!!!...

I broke mine while delivering my youngest son. I am still in a lot of pain and he will be 5 months old on the 28th. Unfortunately, my doctor said it may never heal completely and could cause pain the rest of my life. My only advice would be to try and bring along a donut type pillow if possible. That may provide a small measure of comfort.

I fractured my tailbone 2 years ago, by a fall and not childbirth. I'll tell ya, that was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life!!!!! I had to use a donut pillow to relieve pain during sitting. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and am concerned about childbirth with a previously fractured tailbone. I have a pinched nerve in by buttocks and sometimes feel as I did after the fall. Painful! Maybe the pillow will help.

hi i feel your pain and yes i have twice with my first and second birth the only thing i found that helped me was hot baths with Epsom salts and going to see the chiropractor you would think that with a fractured tail bone it would make it worse but he adjusted my upper and middle back and it helped relive some of the pain but it took me about 6 to 7 months to heal properly with the first and about 3 4 months the second time in the mean time try sitting on those doughnut rings u know the ones that the use for really bad hemorrhoids  look like a inflatable life ring i found sitting on one helped with the pressure and pain sorry to here you are in pain i hope you heal fast good luck

oh i think you can find them at most drug stores or medical supply stores if not ask you dr or hospital they should be able to help

Have you tried a donut pillow? I  know it may look funny, but it will really take the pressure off. You can carry it in your diaper bag if you feel funny carrying it around, and jst pull it out when you get to your seat. You can but it at a medical suply store. I answered your post below too.
