gestational age and ultrasound

How far along should you be before you can see a baby in your uterus or your tubes. I have had 2 etopics last year, I am pregnant now. I am 6 wks to the day. I went in for and ultrasound last week and the Dr. saw something but said he wanted me to come back in a week to see if the sac is growing. Will one week make a difference. On tuesday of last week (04/17)my hormones were 2364, I was 5 wks then. The Friday prior (04/13) my levels were 635. I thought once your levels were 1200 you should be able to see the baby in the uterus. I am so anxious to know. I feel like my Dr. is hiding something from me. When I say something postitive he doesn't respond like I would like him too. With certainty. My husband thinks I am reading too much into it. Please help. I go back this afternoon and I am so anxious

hi, ok i was 6 weeks and maybe 2 days pregnant. And he was able to see everything, the sac, the embryo, and the heartbeat. I don't want to scare you, but everyone is different. I didn't even know any of my numbers, I just knew that my progestrone was low and he had me on Prometrium. But everyone is different

I had a scan at 5 wks they saw nothing, at 6 weeks they saw the sac & at 8 2 weeks they saw sac, baby & heartbeat.

I am no 13 weeks got my next scan on Friday.

I thought it was 11,0000 level to see something on the scan.  Early scans are often inconclusive, you may have ovulatted later in your cycle.  Many women do not see anything until they are over 8 weeks along.  

You doctor is being cautious, not secretive.
