greenish stool in 3months baby

If the baby is otherwise fine and playing then it could be a normal finding due to the gas (air) the baby ***** in  while feeding and a faster passage through the gut. If the baby is on formula feed then the greenish stool can be due to the formula being rich in sugars. Possibility of malabsorption syndrome should be looked into if the baby passes lot of gas, has colic pain and passes stools too frequently. If the baby has fever, possibility of a viral infection should be investigated. Do discuss this with your baby’s doctor. Take care!
