having dh sperm tested

How long should you be ttc until your dh gets his sperm count tested?  We have been trying for 5 months with 1 m/c in between.

We waited until after a year to get tested.  But, its up to you.. you dont normally need a referal to get a sperm analysis.

Usually a doc won't recommend a fertility workup until you have tried for a year without success.  And the m/c suggests that the sperm works, so probably a doc wouldn't be saying you need any testing until a year has gone by.  On the other hand, it's a simple test, and if you asked the doc he would probably be willing to order it.
