hcg levels/ ultrasound results

by pebbles1, Apr 14, 2003 12:00AM
My hcg levels were 12,000 and then 18,000 48 hours later in addition to a transvaginal ultrasound that showed that I was 6 wks 2 days along, but no heartbeat.

Does this pregnancy have a chance?

It is a very concerning finding, but I wouldn't lose all hope yet.  Sometimes you just aren't as far along as you thought, sometimes technical issues make it hard to see the heartbeat.

But I know you are very worried, and I am sure your doctor is getting more levels, and will do another ultrasound that will settle the question.

Let us know, I am praying for you.
