hcg levels and spotting

my first u/s showed the sac with a small spot and it was diagnosed that i was either not as far along as i thought, i was in the process of miscarrying or i am carrying the baby in my tubes. I had my hcg levels checked and although they did not double, they did increase. i've only had light cramping (my spotting stopped a week or so b4 my first u/s) up until the day i heard my hcg results. now i have light cramping and light spotting, although its not red, its a brownish color. any thoughts??

If they found the sac in your tubes, it sounds to be an eptopic pregnancy. Those cannot survive. Since the numbers aren't doubling it seems to confirm that. I'm sorry, but it sounds like your miscarrying. :(

Talk to your doctor about what to do next.

Have they continued to check your hcg levels?  Spotting in early pregnancy can be perfectly normal but it can also be a sign of miscarriage.  The only way to be sure is to have another ultrasound.  I hope everything is alright.
